Absolutely disturbing the inhumane service provided by "Cleanbnb Roma Team CBB123". Zero empathy towards our needs, zero empathy in making us feel like home, lying about the washing machine which was out of order disregarding the fact it was listed (like if we couldn't read it was listed), rotten couch and cushions, no hot water at nights, plague of insects and possible bed bugs on the couch, 100 stairs to get to the apt (absolutely not a 5th floor!!!) No dish soap or products to clean. Layers of dust everywhere. Disgusting toilet and mold in the shower. We had to spend our our money bleaching counters. Pillows and sheets with a rotten smell as well. Oh...a leaking kitchen faucet. Everything was communicated to them and we were just ignored. Authorities in Rome please close CleanBnB down. 15 years of traveling worldwide and I have never seen such a level of decay and inhumane service.
Itâs a cute apartment, it is 5 minutes from piazza nova, I liked that it was walking distance to several locations and the best restaurants. There are a lot of steps since itâs on the 5th floor but I didnât mind them since they helped digest the pizza. The heaters work great if traveling in the cold months.
The flat is advertised on hotels.com as having an âoptionalâ cleaning fee of 45 Euro. After making my booking for two nights I received a mail from the owner of the flat informing me that this was in fact mandatory. Hotels.com then refused to refund my booking even though they admitted it was a mistake. They eventually issued me with a voucher so I could book elsewhere after 14 hours of calls, emails and chats. The property is still advertised on hotels.com as the cleaning charge being âoptionalâ. Why they donât change this to mandatory I have no idea! Very frustrating experience with hotels.com which has put me off ever using them to book a private residence or apartment ever again.
The apartment is in the very center of Rome, at walking distance from Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The apartment has excellent fitness facility with steps that help keep you fit, it is wide with More then enough space. Pity that the structure is left in almost abandoned way. The floor is dirty and so the g doors and the furniture.
This flat surprised us by how spacious and comfortable it was! We really wanted to stay in this area of Rome, so we booked based on location, but ended up getting everything else we look for when we travel. The washer/dryer works VERY well. When we travel to Europe we take a carry on only and need to wash our clothes often. Many times we have had to take still-damp clothes on a train, but this washer/drier combo got our clothes dry so quickly. The bed was comfortable, and the AC works very well. Also, this apartment is a lot bigger than we are used to in Italy when it's just us 2.
I have to give a special shout out to Irene. She works with the property owner and helped us check in. She contacted me on WhatsApp prior to our arrival in Rome to arrange where to meet us. Irene was SO helpful and seemed genuinely interested in helping us arrive safely, get comfortable, and enjoy our time in Rome. She stayed in contact via WhatsApp and even helped me make restaurant reservations, because she wanted us to enjoy authentic resturaunts (which we did!!!) :) It was a huge relief to have contact with someone we felt we could trust and who was so helpful. This alone would cause us to come back to this exact property. Thanks Irene!
Also, this location is perfect. We were able to walk to the majority of what we were interested in and felt safe being out late at night. However, please note that the flat is on the 5th floor with no lift, so if you cannot walk that, you shouldn't book this.
Fifth-floor walk up, with no air conditioning. This should be the first description that appears on the site. The property is beautifully situated in a great neighborhood that is relatively quiet. The beds are not comfortable and need to be upgraded. The apartment has a lot of charm but frankly the price is too high for what you get. It should be more affordable.
