Sitzmark Chalet Inn

I loved our stay at the Sitzmark Chalet Inn. The price, atmosphere, amenities, cleanliness, service, convenience, proximity to casinos and restaurants were all exceptional. There were some areas that were acceptable but not what we expected. First, the fireplace was not authentic, but instead was a mock fireplace with working heater. Second, the old fashioned wall heater provided good heat, but the heat concentrated around the heater and one side of the bed making us having to turn it off and on and alternating between too hot and too cold. When we turned on the "fan only" on the AC on the opposite side of the room, it helped better distribute the heat, but this was after a not so comfortable first night. The view outside was also not as advertised as it was to some back yards next door and the forest was somewhat obstructed. Overall we had a good time and would consider going again.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights, and my father-in-law also had a room for 1 night. The lady that helped us was so kind. This is the second time we have stayed there and will definitely be back! Love the staff, rooms, cookies, muffins, coffee, and hot chocolate!

Quaint hotel. Peaceful stay.

The check in was easy. We were offered cookies. There is a vending machine in the lobby. I believe they have coffee and tea all day. Important things to note: 1. Metal beams protrude from the base of one of the beds in the room where we stayed. You won’t see them because they’re covered by the bed sheets but you will feel them in your ankles when you get near. Ouch!! Forgot to mention this when we checked out. 2. The parking lot is small. Only one car per room. 3. There is no kitchen or bar in the property so no breakfast but they do have muffins in the morning. 4. Quiet time is very very very important to hotel owners. Starting at 10 pm. No late check-in’s.
