Overall, Fairfield was fine. We stay in Folsom a couple of times a year while visiting family, and will likely stay again as it’s convenient and the price is manageable. Staff was friendly enough, and the snack shop was convenient. We didn’t access breakfast—it would be nice if it could be extended an hour for later risers. We opted for “every other day light housekeeping” but missed it because we didn’t leave the hotel until 12:30 that day. The fan in the bathroom is motion-detected so is on frequently, but does not manage the steam from a shower at all. The hotel itself has a smell of men’s cologne that is aversive. I don’t know if it’s someone’s choice for air freshener or what but we stayed for 3 nights, and it is constant in the common areas. Like I said to start, it was fine but not great.

The room and bathroom was the cleanest I’ve seen in a hotel, the staff member that checked me in was very welcoming and professional, and I love how much parking is available. You’re so close to all the best dining in Folsom but just far enough to have peace and quiet. I slept in and was worried I would miss breakfast but the staff brought out a fresh batch of great eggs, ham, and sausage. I’ll definitely stay here again.
