If you seek the picturesque charm of southwest Michigan and the serenity of the St. Joseph River, our historic 100 year old home ‘Proud Mary River Junction’ is the place for you!

Popular wedding venues, Harbor Shores golf course, wineries, breweries and fruit orchards all in close proximity. Just 15 quick minutes by car to downtown St. Joseph and beautiful Silver Beach State Park. (Jean Klock, Tiscornia and Grand Mere within 20 minutes)

4 Bedrooms, 2 full baths, this home sleeps up to 8. Kick back and watch the boats and blue heron from the riverside dock view while roasting marshmallows in the provided fire pit. Love wildlife like us? Check out some of the neighborhood friends we often see along the river in our photos. It is truly a photographers dream this friendly, quiet road. Enjoy the ever changing magical river views while fully unwinding on any three available decks. Dock provides river access to fish, launch kayaks or park boat. All major appliances available - refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, blender and condiments. Laundry onsite with central air, wood burning stove. Large living room with 52 inch smart Roku TV/Netflix/Hulu with DVD player. Seperate family room with 32 inch smart Roku TV/Netflix/Hulu with cable. Private upstairs master bed and bath with river views from the king size bed- small TV with cable. This is a child friendly home with toys, indoor & outdoor games, movies, high chair and outdoor swing set. Musician owned equipped with a stand up piano and plenty of interesting reads.
A true country riverfront oasis, close to town!

*We are dog pet friendly. Talk to owner prior to bringing. Must pay pet deposit ($50) at time of booking.
*Kayaks are available. Life vests and paddles located in garage, and are a must go wear on the river.
*Charcoal grill available, bring your own charcoal, stores in close proximity sell charcoal.

*Fishing encouraged with life vests (some provided in home) and finishing license. Contact local DNR. Fish most commonly caught on the river - small and largemouth bass, crappie, carp, catfish.

River home

Things that need attention. No ice maker , stove elements crooked, some not working,no firewood, floor boards on dock rotten (chair fell Though causing bruises) floating dock inaccessible (no hand rails). Positive points. River view, fantastic sunset, friendly neighbors, sweet neighbor dogs, so much to see and do in the area.

Charming river home

My family of 5 stayed at this charming river home for a week. We also brought our dog. The home is right across the street from the St. Joseph River. Canoes and kayak are available for guests. The neighborhood was very peaceful and the house had a nice side yard for playing fetch with my dog. It is about 20 minutes from Silver Beach. Despite it being an old farmhouse across the street from the river, the house is very clean. I was surprised that there was no issues with bugs on the inside. The pictures are all accurate. If anything, the house is even more charming in person. The kitchen was stocked with everything that we needed for the week, and linens were provided. I would highly recommend this home to other families who want to explore Lake Michigan and are looking for a laid back vacation.

Peaceful retreat

We had a wonderful stay at the river house. There was an abundance of spaces to enjoy (both inside and out), comfortable beds, and a peaceful setting. We took walks along the road every day and enjoyed kayak rides in the river. It was close to the venue for our niece's wedding and only 20 minutes from beautiful beaches on Lake Michigan. I would definitely come back here to stay again, maybe for a fun girls' weekend. Thank you for sharing your home with us and our dog.

1258 Linden dr is perfect

Suggesting hand rails and steps down to the dock. A latter to get back out of the water is suggested as well. The layout of the home and facilities was perfect for us. Recommend curtains at the sliding door and back bedroom window because we are city people and that was outside our comfort zone. The home was clean, had everything we could possibly need and the fresh flowers that welcomed us was a very nice touch! The neighborhood cat was friendly and the family of raccoons came by a couple times to welcome us. I would love to return to your cottage home with my husband and family and will proudly recommend your property to others.

Wedding Week

My girlfriends and I reserved this house for a wedding in town. The property was great, we enjoyed the view of the river and spacious home. Overall, we had a fantastic stay. The only things I noticed were that the stairs were spaced unevenly, and we couldn’t find the dumpster until the last night one appeared in the driveway.

Great Stay!

House and yard were great! Much bigger than it looks in the pics. Fully equipped with nice towels, linens, soaps. Kitchen was also fully equipped with extras like air fryer, dishwasher, sharp knives, filtered water in frig., condiments and plenty of pans. We were in town for a wedding. Six of us were very comfortable for the 3 nights. Having the River right across, with deck and dock was really nice. Carry out from Mark III was really good. Thank you Proud Mary River House!

Beautiful River View

The house was perfect for our family to getaway. Quiet neighborhood and easy to find. The road is great for quiet walks. Lots of sitting areas to be together or find a spot to read. Highly recommend this house and location. The owner was very nice and easy to work with. We had no problems at all with this house.

Relaxing Oasis

This lovely home perfectly fit my family of teen and young adult children! Picturesque views made a beautiful backdrop for family photos. The house was so comfortable and clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed and more! Great location, just a short drive to downtown, beaches, and golf courses! Everyone was able to enjoy daily activities and then meet back at the house for camp fires and games. I loved having coffee on the deck and our teens adored the cozy window seat:). Hosts were very responsive to messages, which was much appreciated. We visit St. Joseph often, as we have family in the area and this house is definitely on our list of places to return.

Charming house!

This house was absolutely charming. It was vintage yet updated. We loved the large living room and the comfortable furniture. It was very clean, spacious and had everything that you needed. The view to the river was incredible and so peaceful. There was a nice deck off of the kitchen area as well. Our grandkids enjoyed the play area and swings. The owner was prompt in responding to any questions we had.

Great Getaway

The location, yard and house size were perfect for our family stay of seven. The house was neat but definitely needs some updates. Mattress’s and washer and dryer. The deck across from the property has rotten boards. The neighborhood is lovely. Would definitely return.

Great place to relax!

We needed a place to stay for a wedding we were attending at one of the local wineries. It was so quiet and peaceful, a welcome place to stay away from the hustle and bustle, but close enough to see everyone in 10 minutes or so. Lovely set up. We’ll be back!

From the time my family and I arrived, including our doggy, we all loved the house. The area was safe and great and a short drive from downtown St. Joseph, including the beach, and two awesome state parks: Grand Mere and Warren Dunes. Everything was dog-friendly. Highly recommended.
