Liked: Cleanliness
I only stayed overnight having booked online check in was quick and simple. My room was comfortable a small ensuite but perfectly adequate. I had some difficulty negotiating the late return combination lock but luckily I spotted a member of staff clearing up at a first floor window and he came to my aid.

Disliked: Amenities
This was by far the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I have stayed at motels in the middle of nowhere that were cleaner, with better service and better facilities. The management was not helpful at all, our water was dirt brown, our room smelled like a vegas casino and on top of it all I paid a ridiculous amount of money. This literally seemed like a scam and I am appalled that they are allowed to house any guests without someone signing a waiver.
The gentleman was very nice but the rooms were absolutely shocking, we had three rooms booked one family room that they didn’t have, they switched the worst room for us but that wasn’t much better but it didn’t have hairs in the bed I had to put shoes on to go to the bathroom in the night as the carpet was dirty we tried to get in another hotel locally but couldn’t find three rooms
The grounds are completely overgrown. Part of the building at the back looks dilapidated. The corridors had a musty smell. There was no reception. A man used the back of an old envelope to note that I had arrived. The door to my bathroom was dirty and had been kicked in. No toilet roll holder in the bathroom. I stayed one night and when I left, the so called security door at the back was not shut and the box for depositing my room key was wide open. Anyone could have wandered in, taken a room key and settled down. This used to be a beautiful hotel. Very sad to see it in such a poor state.
We were very disappointed with our stay here. We looked for somewhere with an ideal location in Manchester particularly for the marathon. Inside was very dirty and has not been kept in good condition. Where to start? The carpets and rugs had stains on, the bathroom had hairs all over the wall from the last occupant, there was no charger on either side of the bed even though there was an unplugged lamp on one. The kettle has no plug socket near so had to use that on the window sill. Wall lights with warm and cool bulbs in? There was mould in the bathroom, the extractor fan was very noisy. There was loads of cracks in the walls that haven’t been filled. There has been a complete lack of love and overall a very disappointing stay considering we paid over £100 for 1 night.
Excellent staff.
Property was very clean but a few minor points needed repair/updating.
I could hear a lot of sounds from the people in the room next door.
Generally very comfortable and met all my needs.
No one on reception for check in no one answered bell or phone numbers that were left and it took over 10 minutes to check in and there was no till so after paying the man had to go into another room to give me £2 change and room had cobwebs with dust on them
