Perched high above the Arkansas River Valley- Rhode's Hideaway provides breathtaking views of the Collegiate Peaks. Quaint and Cozy, this home offers 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths and a fully appointed kitchen. Conveniently located near the Arkansas Trail system and minutes to historic downtown Salida.

This home offers:

​​​​​​​All Pinon homes are "vacation ready" with a fully appointed kitchen, towels and linens. Hand, dish and shower soaps are provided, as well as, toilet paper, trash bags, salt and pepper and coffee filters. Bring your own laundry detergent, paper napkins and toiletries.

Pinon Vacation Rentals provides guest support from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 pm.

Reservations may be canceled more than 30 days prior to check-in with full refund minus a $125 Cancellation fee or a $75 Change fee if applicable. No refunds will be issued after this cut-off date for any reason. No refunds will be issued due to weather conditions.**

The house was very clean and spacious—the bedrooms are huge—and had pretty much anything we could have needed. The only issue was that the wi-fi was out for most of our stay, but fortunately cell coverage was fine. The location was very convenient to town and we loved drinking our morning coffee on the deck while looking at the gorgeous mountains.

Awesome stay!!!

Place was very spacious and clean! The location was away from town and was very quiet but close enough it was only a short 5 minute drive to get into town. Wildlife would greet us every morning and evening and overall was just a very relaxing atmosphere. We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be coming back next time we are in Salida!

Secluded and close to everything!

Comfortable accomodations and great view in a perfect location! It was easy to explore Salida and the surrounding areas. We loved the wrap-around deck and property. The house was not as large as it appeared in the photos but it was cozy. The kitchen was well-equiped. We specially liked that our dogs were welcome! We definetily recommend it and would love to go back!

Amazing location
 a few amenities missing

The view was breathtaking. My favorite part of the stay. The location was great as well
 close to town and hiking trails. I found it weird that there was no shampoo or conditioner, there was no coffee as described, and the fireplace was set up for a fire, but there was nothing with which to light it. At this price point I would think all those items would be included. Great stay though. I’d come back.

West Facing Windows
 Beautiful View But Hot

The house is outside of town
 not as isolated as the pictures indicate, but on a very large lot in a housing division. The lot has very few trees or shade. The property was clean and adequately appointed. The rental agency was easy to reach and they responded quickly. I was told told the house had no AC, but “Rocky Mountain AC” was used, i.e. opening windows and using fans, and it keeps the home cool. That was NOT the case, the house faces west with large windows and a fabulous view of the mountains. Even with blinds closed and windows open, the inside of the house reached the high 80s to 90s during the day
 always 10+ degrees hotter than outside. I know this because there was a thermometer by the door! The temp inside the house was pleasant from about 10pm to 10am. The other 12 hours it was miserably hot! Not a place I would recommend in the warmer months of the year. I came from Texas to beat the heat, not sit in a sauna.
