Along with a restaurant, there's a coffee shop/cafe on site. You can enjoy a drink at the bar/lounge. WiFi is free in public spaces. Old Mill Salisbury also features a terrace, a garden, and coffee/tea in a common area. Limited free parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Staying in a 12th century Old Mill Hotel was unique! Room was a good size, bed comfy and property very clean. Choice of restaurant and bar food depending on the weeknight. Good sized servings. The water for the mill runs through the restaurant. Large seating area at rear. New owners and staff are very friendly and hard working and accommodated us firing up the pizza oven when we arrived late for dinner when the kitchen had closed. Location is great and itâs a short walk to Salisbury Cathedral which is not to be missed.
Very friendly manager on checking in. Comfortable bed and white bed linen. The only snag was that breakfast is served between 9 and 11. We had to leave at 8 in the morning so left without breakfast. Such a shame. We did ask if there was a possibility of an earlier breakfast, but, unfortunately the chef couldn't accommodate our request due to food prep for the lunchtime Sunday session.
All in all a lovely setting with comfortable beds, just a little disappointed with the breakfast timings, toast and cereal would have been adequate!
Stayed in much better rooms, location, staff great
Most importantly staff were kind, helpful and friendly in both hotel and garden bar restaurant.
The hotel sits in a beautiful and quiet location easily accessed and simple parking. Easy access via traffic free footpath to Salisbury on foot. Suggest mapping App if you don't know the area.
Twin Room was clean and practical, but minimal. En suite bathroom was okay, but shower not great especially for taller people. The provision of towels and toiletries was of good standard. Tassimo coffee machine and bottled water provided was again good, but compact twin room didn't really lend to sitting and drinking coffee.
Evening food menu was okay and a nice outdoor beer garden, but Salisbury worth the walk for wider food variety.
As we stayed a single night and left early the serving of breakfast no earlier than 9am was an irritation. Although it became evident Salisbury has very few options for breakfast before 8am!
Overall a great location with good staff, and potentially better rooms than the twin we stayed in. No complaints, but have just stayed in better accomodation hence the average rating.
Great people, manager good. Hot weather and there was a Dyson Air Fan in the room. Very good. Did not eat but, great location. Call the hotel rather than book through Expedia save ÂŁ20!
A beautiful spot and the manager could not have been.more helpful. The hotel has recently been reopened and there is still some upgrading needed to the bar area but the restaurant was very attractive and the old building stunning
A lovely old building with very comfortable accommodation and a wonderful location, only a 15 minute walk to Salisbury along the path from which Constable painted the Cathedral.
An excellent place to stay but not to eat : we had a 35 minute wait for a simple breakfast (available only after 9 am).
