We had a wonderful vacation! The location was wonderful and the view was outstanding. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub and sauna! The home was very clean and comfortable. We will be back!! Our dogs loved it too!
Eight adults and one westie dog enjoyed our stay. We got out two days to explore from the end of Hatteras to Duck. We visited the Graveyard of the Atlantic museum, Cape Hatteras Lighthouse and Bodie lighthouse but were unable to do much at the lighthouses or do anything at all at the Wright brothers monument in Kitty Hawk due to the Government shutdown. Ate at two great restaurants. Watermanâs and Mirroâs. Also beautiful sunset on sound side at our stop at Dairy Queen for ice cream. Picture below. We had enough dishes to eat on and cook with but the silverware was lacking, especially spoons. Pool water was cool but there were a couple that braved it and enjoyed the hot tub. Living area was great and plenty of room for all to enjoy watching tv, putting together puzzles and reading or crafting which we did. Everyone talked about how they would love to come back here again.
We have spent many vacations in the Outer Banks. Working with Surf and Sound made the vacation easy. The house was exactly what we expected. It was clean and very comfortable. Thank you.
There is a lot of stairs to climb, along with the climb over the dunes to the beach. But we had a great time the week we was there. We explored the OBX as much as we could. The house could use some more upgrades. Also some of the patio needs some attention too. It is an older home and I'm sure it has seen some storms.
The house was clean and comfortable. It was by far the nicest house weâve stayed in at the Outer Banks. It is modern and updated. The pool area was great on a day that the wind was too much at the beach. We love Watermanâs Restaurant which is very close. The kitchen has everything you need to cook a good seafood dinner. It was just my husband, myself and our dog but the house would be wonderful for an entire family and quests. We spent mornings on the top deck watching the sun come up. It never gets old. At night we sat outside looking at the moon and stars. We love the tri-villages area.
We were very disappointed when the hot tub was mysteriously turned off on day 6 of our stay. I texted, emailed, and called [twice] property management to report the issue, but NO ONE EVER RESPONDED and the hot tub was not turned back on during the remainder of our stay. The hot tub was one of the major draws for our group, as we went during spring when it's still chilly. The house is nice and clean. The large living room with good views and 2 large balconies are the best features. We didn't appreciate the separate $500 charge for towels and linens, but we go over it. The location is nice - a quiet area of the OBx. We stayed a week. One roll of paper towels, one roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 2 dishwasher pods, a small bottle of dish soap, no hand soap or laundry detergent were provided. It would have been nice to know this in advance.
