Water enthusiasts will enjoy 'Aquaholic', a stunning 7 master bedroom home overlooking the Pamlico Sound with all the amenities. Enjoy beautiful sunsets and front-row views of the kite boarders, wind surfers and sailboats that dot the sound, or just experience the starry night sky and the calm of the salt marshes.

With new "Flex Check-in", avoid the weekend traffic jams. Start your vacation any day of the week and stay as long as you'd like -- no need for week-long bookings with a fixed check-in day.

The beach is less than a quarter mile away, visible from our balconies and a short distance away (walk, bike ride, pack your car with chairs and a cooler and park at one of the many parking spots). Four-wheel drive vehicles can also drive and park on the national park beaches nearby.

You'll be greeted by an old live oak tree encircled in a bench with gorgeous landscaping, a gas grill, ample parking plus a basketball hoop for outdoor play. The swimming pool has a pool bar and poolside basketball.

Decorated in 'beach glass' colors, Aquaholic is wheelchair accessible and includes an elevator. The lowest level features a game room with a pool table, regulation championship foosball table, and card table and television. The bar area has an icemaker, dishwasher, microwave and refrigerator. Enjoy streaming movies, live television, or gaming in the private theater with a huge tv and reclining theater chairs. This floor has one bedroom with queen bunk beds and private bath, plus one bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds and private bath. Two sets of washer/dryers complete this family-friendly space.

The top floor has a wide-open floor plan, vaulted ceilings and views of both the sound and the ocean, with front and rear decks and a hardwood floor. Plenty of comfortable seating accommodate your large group, with two dining tables. The gourmet kitchen features two refrigerators, two dishwashers, a six-burner gas range, separate ice maker and walk-in pantry. The living room features sweeping views of the sound and a stereo with exterior speakers provide a soundtrack for the sunset. The top floor also features a spacious deluxe king master suite that opens onto the large sound front deck, with a television, whirlpool tub and double shower.

The middle floor has another sound front deluxe master bedroom suite with a television, whirlpool tub and double shower, two additional king suites with bathrooms and televisions, plus a wheelchair accessible suite with a queen-sized bed. Relax or play games in the library that opens onto spectacular views of the sound.

Enjoy the beauty of the sound or play on the wide, sandy beaches. Convenient access to world-class windsurfing and kiteboarding, fishing, surfing, state parks, pirate lore, historic sites. The perfect combination of nature and vacation, beach and sound at the 'Aquaholic'.

This home accommodates 16 (maximum of 14 adults).

Pool available seasonably (opens around May 1, closes around October 31). Pool heat is available for $100 per night.

Beautiful and Comfortable Home

The kitchen was very well stocked! Clean and tidy and everything comfortable. Great location. Good communication with host before and during stay. Absolutely beautiful views! Just note the check in and out times - 5pm and 9 am - really makes you lose a whole day. We were able to get in a 3pm which made it a lot better but left a day early to avoid getting 14 people (six kids) out the door by 9:00.

We had 12 people all over 16 years old. Loved everything about this place! The teens took over bottom floor for games and movies which gave us adults peace on top floor. Everything was as described and perfect! It was beautiful!!

A Great Family Getaway

This property was everything we expected, and was perfect for our big family vacation. The little fishing town of Salvo isn’t marked on a lot of maps, but it’s a cozy place and a perfect spot in OBX if you want a genuine experience without the tourist traps from the northern islands. Black Dog’s Aaron and Dawn were amazing hosts, and were attentive to us. They went above and beyond for our family and helped us anytime we needed them. I would recommend this house to anyone!

Relax and enjoy

Aquaholic is a relaxing home to visit. It has a yard for outdoor activities, dock to sound, great views and centrally located in Salvo. Multiple decks to sit and relax and enjoy the peace and quiet. House is a great place for a family outing. Spacious living areas, large kitchen, plenty of bathrooms and awesome movie theater room. I have stayed twice.

Amazing place!

This was such a beautiful and gigantic property! They provided lots of clean towels and I love the fact that they had so many full bathrooms and 2 sets of washer and dryer! Everywhere was super clean and spacious! They had lots of fun entertainment there with a theatre room, pool table, poker table, foosball table, pool, and hot tub. The host was very kind and very responsive (even at 2am!) 10/10 recommended

Aquaholic was terrific! The house is spacious and very well appointed. The location is perfect in that there was complete privacy and amazing bay views. The swimming pool is beautiful as well as the wonderful hot tub. The elevator is a bonus especially when checking in and out. Dawn, our hostess, was very responsive, but we would have preferred information regarding the operation of the tv’s upon arrival, not familiar with the cable company. Overall, everyone had an incredible time and we look forward to returning. We hit a home run by choosing this home!!!

We had to evacuate after just one day and got no refund of not even half what we paid

The house was great there was no named storm coming on shore they evacuated visitors but the home owner told me they were evacuating the whole island after telling me it would be fine i had a whole week we could have stayed but wasn't aloud ive had more bad weather than they got back at home and wasnt evacuated (harvey) we had no were to go and not enough money for another stay some were we are all on set incomes and the home owner would not refund anything we didnt get to see any of the islands as we arrived late and was told to get out at noon the next morning beware they give no refunds at all and the owner never introduced her self as such when she was there telling us to leave or when sbe was there as cleaning lady i had to call her and ask was that you that lied to me and said everybody off the island by 12 turned out to be just visiters all of us ages 52 to 78 scrambling to hurry we were told at 10 30 and thought we be in traffic because was everybody on island if i knew the truth we would have been able to go at better pase some got sick from the scrambling to pack and leave the whole thing was just wrong we got screwed out of our vacation we saved for none of us have money just laying around the owner has no heart

Aquaholic is a good option for a vacay

Aquaholic is a good choice for a vacay. Had a little trouble locating because we were given the wrong address but called our contacts and received the correct address. Love the location of the home on the sound. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets each night from the back deck. The home was clean on arrival. Like the feature of adding the sheets to your beds, made me feel comfortable that the sheets were clean. Bathrooms clean. One suggestion is a deep clean of the kitchen cabinets and the pots and pans or replace them. The cabinets are visibly dirty in areas and some of the pots and pans could have used a good deep scrubbing or replacement. Other than that had everything we needed. Would recommend.

Fun! Fun! Fun!

Aquaholic was perfect for our family of 16 vacation getaway! It was so clean and had many areas to gather and just be together...that is, of course when we were not fishing! We loved the theatre room and game room. The elevator was wonderful since we had my 84 year old momma with us! The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots and pans. We enjoyed sitting on the deck to watch the beautiful sunsets. If we come back to the Outer Bank, we will be staying at Aquaholic! Thanks for a wonderful vacation Dawn!

Wonderful Getaway

We traveled to Aquaholic with our extended family, a party of four adults and five children/teens. The house was amazing-- the views from the top floor were particularly beautiful , and 360 degrees. The house was well-appointed and well-maintained and had everything you could need. Highlights were the pool, the hot tub and the movie theater. Easy access to super market, parks, beaches, and activities like kayaking and jet skiing. We met Dawn as we were leaving and had a pleasant exchange. We'd be thrilled to stay here again.

We stayed a week at Aquaholic and enjoyed each moment. Great house for a large group with lots to do. We enjoyed the pool and game room. The views were wonderful and the property manager was very responsive when I inquired about access to the sound. Thank you gif being so accommodating!

What an Experience!

This was our first time time to the Outer Banks and what memories we made. From swimming in the pool to relaxing in the hot tub to enjoying movies in the theatre, the atmosphere of this beautiful property only enhances our experience. 100% + satisfaction. Easy living for the week

Overall, our stay at Aquaholic was enjoyable and relaxing. The pool and hot tub are were perfect to meet our needs and it was nice that someone came to maintain both in the middle of the week. Some other notable amenities include the double washer/dryer, multiple dishwashers, and bathrooms in every room. The house was very clean and even when we had an issue with the ice maker and fridges, someone responded and came out immediately. Even better, the concerns were remedied. Our only recommendations/concerns were: the 5am wake-up call from the rooster next door and a lack of extra blankets/throws (bedding was a bit thin and an extra blanket would have been nice). Otherwise, the place was great. The rooms were quiet despite all of our guests. We would definitely return!

Paradise vacation

This house is excellent. The owners thought of everything to make your vacation perfect. We had our entire family here for a vacation and we had plenty of space for the adults and the kids. The movie room is top of the line, the two refrigerators, two dishwashers, and two washer dryers were exactly what was needed for our group. The pool was a nice retreat away from the easily accessible beach. Thank you for keeping the house so we’ll maintained. Everything exceeded my expectations!!! Love you aquaholic❤️❤️

Extreme Satisfaction in SALVO

Aquaholic home was amazing. It looks even better than the pictures on the site. The decor, upkeep and amenities are first rate. The views of the sound from the decks were wonderful. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The family really enjoyed the home theater and game room not to mention the pool and hot tub. The managers were excellent in communicating with us. We only had a couple of questions but no problems with the property or the managers. The place is very well equipped for a long stay with a large family ( we had 11 ) in that there are 2 large refrigerators in the kitchen and a small one 1 the game room, 2 dishwashers, 2 washers and 2 dryers. They provide all of the things you need to cook meals ( except the food of course) and have a keurig and regular drip coffee maker. Lots of space to sit while dining. The elevator was a godsend . Check in was easy and the house was SO CLEAN. Parking for several cars was so appreciated. We would stay here again for sure.

Picture Perfect Place

Great house with lots of amenities. Quiet location, family friendly, beautiful views and just a short walk to the beach. Dawn was very quick to respond to any questions we had.
