The whole point of me renting a room at this establishment is that I was looking forward to relaxing and immersing myself in a deep soaking tub as described as one of the amenities specific to that room in the Travelocity app. To my dismay, the gentleman handling my check in at this establishment seemed bewildered because I was informed that this establishment had no such thing. He was nice enough to let me see the room before making a decision to occupy that space or take one with the walk in shower. After taking a look see, I was highly disappointed to find a tiny standard tub. I took it anyway to try to make the best of my stay. Before turning in for the night, I was in the process of making sure everything was secured i.e. making sure the door was locked. The dead bolt mechanism wouldn’t engage so I ended up changing to a different room with a walk in shower. If not for the false impression of having a deep soaking tub anywhere at that establishment, I would’ve given this establishment 5 stars. The walk in showers with the king size beds are wonderful, the close proximity to the Black Bear Cafe is a no brainer for a more than decent meal, and last but not least, the young man handing my check in was wonderfully accommodating and genuinely a nice person. The lady handling my check out was busy but just as nice and accommodating which leads me to believe that the customer service people representing this establishment take pride in what they do. I will stay there again.
