There was construction on the street which we didn’t know before we rented our room. So that was very unfortunate. The hotel is nice but it just felt off. From arrival it didn’t feel welcoming at all. We also ordered room service and chicken was cold. The only happy people I met was a gentleman that worked in valet. I walked across to La plaza hotel to buy some snacks for my daughter and the people at the from were so nice completely different atmosphere.

The hotel was beautiful, the room was lovely, and the food was amazing. We truly enjoyed many aspects of our stay. Unfortunately, we did have one serious issue that impacted our experience. During our stay, an item (a face cream) went missing from our room after housekeeping had been in the bathroom. Items were moved around even though the counters did not require cleaning, which was unusual. When we contacted the hotel, we were informed that it was not located. This was our first stay at a Kimpton property, and while the hotel itself and staff were wonderful, this experience left a negative impression. Guests should feel confident that their belongings are safe during their stay.

The room was phenomenal and big! But what really stood out was the customer service. Considering that their sister hotel is the Plaza San Antonio and their customer service is awful, Kimpton was really fantastic. They were incredibly responsive and Incredibly kind, we had some perks that we were able to use and everyone was so clear explaining how everything worked.

The customer service was excellent the staff was very helpful as well and friendly. The room was beautiful & clean with a lovely view and the amenities were great. I was there for a concert and it was within walking distance to the stadium as well as the River Walk.
