We are 5 minutes to the Pearl; across the street from the DOSEUM and Witte Museums, Brackenridge Park, Golfing, the San Antonio Zoo, Incarnate Word and Trinity Universities. Neighborhood highlights
The name Westfort is a modern nickname for the neighborhood, related to its location at the western edge of Fort Sam Houston.
The neighborhood attracted prominent residents in the 1910s.
Homes for C.T. Boelhauwe, local architect, Frank Scobey, director of the US Mint, and Gutzon Borglum, nationally renowned sculptor, were all located on nearby Brahan Blvd.
The neighborhood later transitioned to predominantly rentals for military personnel stationed at Fort Sam
Houston and their families.
The architectural styles represented in the Westfort Historic District vary from Prairie Style and Craftsman to Mission Revival and Spanish Eclectic.
The eclectic collection reflects the development of the neighborhood over many decades.

Such a wonderful house it is beautifully decorated! The host have thought just about everything to make the stay fun and enjoyable! The location is great, there is a children’s museum within walking distance and golf down the street! My family and I had a great stay!

Great Property, Large and renovated with a very convenient location

Stayed here with 6 adults and 5 grandchildren. Plenty of room and the house is completely renovated, both inside and out. The owners communicated throughout and were easy to reach. The pictures should be updated as they seem pre-renovation and the house is much nicer than the pictures. The neighborhood is in transition so it has some run down areas and there is traffic but the home is completely fenced in with a great heated pool and backyard - Most of the time you would not know you were in the city. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. Location is extremely convenient to DoSeum (across the street), zoo, and Japanese gardens. Also only 10- 15 min to the airport and River Walk. We had grandkids so did not Uber but this location would make that extremely cost effective.

The house was lovely. It was very clean and spacious. There's a pool and ping pong table to keep us well entertained while at the house. There was very good communication from our host. Highly recommended!

Great home for larger group.

Our group of 9 enjoyed the home very much. Location is convenient to most of the city. Owners were great and always responsive. Home was very clean and very well maintained. Stocked with all the essentials.

Beautiful Home

The house was beautifully renovated....very homey and spacious. Worked wonderfully for our group of seven. Once the backyard is completely, the home will be a perfect place for a large family to stay
