Amazing stay at Casalini!

The grounds and scenery around the property are absolutely stunning! The home is very well built and had more than enough space for our family of six! We spent most of our time enjoying each other’s company around the large kitchen table and our two boys loved the very large pool! It was great waking up to see the sunrise and hot air balloons that were flying in viewing distance from the property! A car is definitely recommended due to the distance from Florence but we did many day trips from the property. We travelled to Florence for a couple of excursions which was 30 minutes away, San Gimignano (must see) which is about one hour, and Lucca which was about an hour and a half. We planned to do more day trips but loved the property so much we stayed there and hung around the pool for a couple of days and relaxed. Maria Theresa was a great host and anytime we needed something she was right there! Thank you so much for a truly memorable experience!

Beautiful Italian Countryside - what you see in magazines.

Beautiful countryside stay. Located in a quiet area, away from it all. Car is needed to travel into town. Property surrounded by olive and lemon trees. Clean pool - great for the kids. Was unaware of the local taxes due at time of booking, cash only. Token operated washing machine, $3 EURO after 1st complimentary wash - shared with other guests staying on property.

Relaxing Farm House

Peace and quiet outside the city

Great house in Chianti region on a vineyard about 30 minutes from Florence. Off the beaten track so a vehicle is a necessity. The location made it easy to take day trips to Vinci and San Gimignano. Took the T1 tram into downtown Florence for sightseeing.

An Ideal Tuscan Experience

If you're looking for a quite Tuscan house within easy commuting distance to Florence then look no further! Our host Maria Teresa was very helpful in assisting us with every query and request that we had, the house was a rustic Tuscan farmhouse, with all the utensil's that you would require for a self catering holiday. The outside tables, chairs, sun loungers were ideally placed to catch the sun from morning to midday, then a shaded cooler spot to relax and enjoy the evening after a busy day where ever you may end up. The swimming pool was a nice size, clean and plenty sunlongers located around the pool with umbrellas to either catch or shade from the sun. Ideally located for either catching the bus into Florence or 30 minute drive, 1 hour drive from Pisa, 1 to 2 hour drive to the likes of San Gimignamo, Pienza, Greve in Chianti, just perfect. There are local two cafes within a 10 -15 min walk for having a nice espresso and pastries in the morning to a cheeky beer or glass of wine at night, the nearby village Chiesanuova had a great pizza restaurant that was nice to sit in or takeaway, there were also other restaurants there and in Cerbaia but we just never had the time to go to them. It was definitely a lucky find for our family ranging from aged 7 to 76.

Stunning location

Stunning farm and views, refreshing swimming pool, clean house. I would advise to have a car. Buses are infrequent and cabs are expensive and not easy to get. Closest supermarket is 30mins walk, plan well with the buses! I still loved my stay and would highly recommend, just get a car!

Italian vacation

Our family of seven from the USA stayed here for five nights. The house and the property are beautiful. We had a wonderful visit. We chose to stay outside of Florence where it is more quiet and peaceful. We did not have a rental car which was difficult as the bus was unreliable. Maria Theresa was very kind and drove us to get groceries the first day, and later helped us arrange taxi service. Overall, a wonderful experience on our first visit to Italy.

Beautiful Property & spacious accommodations

Teresa was an absolutely lovely host. She was so accommodating. When the weather turned cool, we were given plenty of wood to light a cozy fire in the salon. Kitchen was spacious for cooking our meals. Bedrooms great and large. King sized beds for both couples. Teresa even gave us a bottle of olive oil and wine from her property. Both were excellent. The gardens were gorgeous. Highly recommend staying here!

Schönes Haus in der Toskana

Sehr schönes Anwesen 30min von Florenz entfernt. Die Gastfreundschaft von Maria Teresa ist lobend hervor zu heben. Einzug negativer Punkt: etwas weit von Restaurants oder SupermĂ€rkten entfernt. Mal eben einkaufen bedeutet mindestens 15min Autofahrt pro Richtung

Fantastic stay at Maria’s home

We had such a good time staying here. We helped with the picking of grapes and watching the workers process them. Maria was a great host and was available for any needs we had. The bus stop and a small grocery store were within a short walking distance.

It’s beautiful!

It was exactly as it is in the pictures! The views are breathtaking! Roads to get to the house are narrow and winding! You will need wine by the time you arrive! Mariateresa was kind and very helpful. Prior to coming she helped us book a wine tasting with lunch and our final night we had a woman come in and cook for us! Thank you Mariateresa for helping make our last days of vacation(Holiday)memorable!

Beautiful Villa in Tuscany

My family of 5 stayed for a week and had a terrific time! The villa and the grounds are beautiful. There’s plenty of room in the home for everyone and has Italian charm. The property has a large pool, vast vineyard of grapes, olives, capers and lemons. The views were amazing! Mariateresa was a great host. Our ceiling fan didn’t work and she had it replaced within an hour. We got to tour her private wine cellar and sample homemade wine and limoncello! The property is less than half hour from Florence and we walked to the bus stop, which was very convenient. WiFi was spotty in the villa but we had good reception outside. Thanks Mariateresa for a memorable week!

Fantastisch, Toskana pur

Wir (2 Familien mit 4+ 3 Personen) hatten diese Unterkunft in erster Linie als StĂŒtzpunkt fĂŒr einen Florenz-Besuch gebucht. Das Anwesen, das aus mehreren toskanischen FerienhĂ€usern besteht, umgeben von OlivenbĂ€umen und Weinbergen hat sich als so schön herausgestellt, dass wir kaum Lust hatten, dieses Paradies zu verlassen, um ins 10 km entfernte Florenz zu fahren. Neben dem schönen, gepflegten und großzĂŒgigen Haus sind die weiteren Highlights z.B. ein toller großer Swimmingpool, wundersschöne Aussicht auf eine toskanische Landschaft, absolute Ruhe, und so weiter.... Hier kann man die Seele baumeln lassen. Nicht unerwĂ€hnt bleiben soll außerdem die supernette EigentĂŒmerin/Vermieterin, bei der man Olivenöl, Wein oder Limoncello aus eigener Produktion kaufen kann. Wir hatten hier einen wunderschönen Kurzurlaub und ich habe so das GefĂŒhl, dass wir hier nicht zum letzten Mal waren.
