Our stay at the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco was absolutely fantastic, and we couldn't be more thrilled with our experience! This iconic hotel truly lives up to its reputation, offering a blend of historic elegance and modern comfort that made our visit unforgettable. From the moment we stepped into the grand lobby, we were enveloped in an atmosphere of sophistication and charm. Our room was not only meticulously clean, but while the rooms and amenities might feel a bit dated, this actually enhanced our experience, lending an excellent older San Francisco feel that we truly appreciated. It offered breathtaking views of the city skyline, which was a constant delight. The attention to detail in the room's design and amenities, including that classic charm, made it a truly comfortable sanctuary. The hotel's location atop Nob Hill is simply unparalleled, providing easy access to many of San Francisco's most beloved attractions while offering a sense of elevated tranquility. Whether we were exploring the city or simply enjoying the panoramic vistas from the hotel, the convenience and beauty of the surroundings were undeniable. The staff were exceptional—courteous, professional, and incredibly helpful, always going the extra mile to ensure our needs were met. Every interaction was a pleasure, contributing significantly to our overall enjoyment. We wholeheartedly recommend the Intercontinental Mark Hopkins San Francisco to anyone visiting the city.

Wonderful wedding weekend.

Was a wedding weekend for my youngest son. We stayed with him his two brothers and their partners. This required 4 rooms with different checkout days and special access to leave flowers and champagne for the newlyweds. Hotel accommodated us in four adjacent rooms which made everything feel special.

The hotel is in a perfect location in Nob Hill. It’s really walkable and very safe. The housekeeping staff is excellent. The hotel is a bit tired— dated looking, but so clean it makes up for it. I’ve spent two of the last 5 weeks there, and both stays had limited elevator access. One of the three was down the entire time I’ve been there. My son and I gave up waiting for it in the morning and would just take the stairs. I would be willing to overlook that too if the staff (minus the housekeepers) were even the tiniest bit nice. My adult son and I agree that their vibe is hostile. I wouldn't recommend staying there.
