MaxRooms is nicely located, less than 5 minutes walk from the market and an ATM. The staff were really helpful and the food at the restaurant downstairs was really good and budget friendly. The room was dated but it was clean, had hot water, and good internet. All in all, you get great value for what you are paying for. I would stay again at MaxRooms and from San Ignacio, you can visit Cahal Pech, Xunantunich, Baracol, the ATM and Barton creek caves.

I highly recommend Max Rooms. The staff is very kind, communicative and attentive- they really care about your experience! The house keeping staff keep the premises very clean. I was especially impressed with the freshness if the linens and the comfortable bedding. If there were any issues, it was easy to get in touch with the owner through WhatsApp. Both of the restaurants downstairs are delicious- Caris and Katherine are both sweet and delightful. If I ever return to the area, I will definitely stay here again.

Great room for traveling. Loved the microwave, kettle, and fresh water in the common area. Checked in with my 16 year old son, quick trip to grocery store, then wonderful little restaurant downstairs where the kid discovered he loves fish empanadas, ate on the balcony, ordered more empanadas, met the restaurant staffs husband (a tour guide) and got number so next time we are in San Ignacio we go cave tubing, slept well, then up and out early for adventure. Everything one needs to travel through this amazing country.

Great place with a quick walk into town and the Main Street. Great host who was very accommodating. It’s a budget hotel but was comfy, quiet, AC working. What else do you need?

Excellent hotel. Close to everything without being in the middle of it. Five minute walk over cute bridge to downtown. Many eating options around the hotel. Laundry service on site, which is great while traveling. The bed was comfortable and quiet.
