Rustic great setting. You are in the jungle. Everything is in good condition and any minor issues were promptly resolved. Be sure to have some meals in the on site restaurant (advance noticebrequired) for excellent Mayan style cuisine at very reasonable price. Location is excellent for all major area attractions. Highly recommend

A wonderful oasis
Our family of 5 really enjoyed our stay at Cabins at Monkey Falls. It was slightly rustic, but perfectly suited to our needs. The location was central and we were able to see many attractions in our time there. It was also lovely having the choice to have breakfast or dinner on site. Rose and staff made delicious food and the coffee was top notch. Rod was also very helpful in helping us figure out what to go see. His work around the property was also much appreciated. The grounds are beautiful and it felt like we were living in our own little slice of Belizian jungle.

The Cabins at Monkey Falls
This is our second stay at the cabins which is a locally owned and operated property by the sweetest people Belize has to offer. The cabins provided everything you needed for rest, relaxation and fun. The property is absolutely beautiful and if you needed anything at all, there was always someone right there to assist you. We took advantage of the home cooked meals offered onsite and started our days with a healthy/hearty breakfast and ended our days with a delicious meal cooked to order. The food was fantastic. That Rose really knows how to cook!!! The property is absolutely lovely and is a great landing spot for all the adventures offered in the area. I highly recommend the cabins and cannot wait to return. Thanks so much for everything!!!! We had an excellent stay.

Amazing
The 3 cabins were perfect for the six of us. Melody prepared a delicious breakfast ever day and helped us have a reasonably priced tour guide for 3 days. Very close to the town of San Ignacio with many shops and restaurants and an easy drive to the many historical sites.

Christmas in Paradise
We had so much fun celebrating Christmas at these cottages with our family. The property was beautiful and the cottages were very comfortable and provided all that we needed for our five night stay. We played games, sat around the fire and had a huge Christmas meal. It was wonderful. Melody and Rod were very accommodating and I recommend having Melody cook breakfast in the morning to get your day/adventures started off right. She is a very good cook. Looking forward to staying with you again.

Wonderful base from which to explore the Cayo District
The Cabins at Monkey Falls were a lovely oasis from which we did a week of exploring. It's located very near San Ignacio and within driving distance to all of the major sites. You will need 4 wheel drive to get some places. It wasn't quite as remote as I had imagined, but I think that is a failing of my imagination as the description does say that a road runs right next to one of the cabins. The sounds of people can be heard (distant radios, traffic, dogs barking) so you are not in a remote jungle location. This didn't bother us, other than one night when a church held a service down the road over loud speakers which ended around 9:00 pm. I think this was unusual and a special occasion for the church. Otherwise the evenings were very quiet with bird and insect sounds all around. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the cabins are very well stocked. We never met Melody, but she was very responsive through WhatsApp and her suggestions for things to do were perfect. We did meet Rod, the caretaker of the property and he was very friendly and helpful, loaning us a cooler for our trip to Caracol. Overall, an excellent stay and a great find! Highly recommended.
