Waisted Food/No Lighting

Our fridge was not cold, so I requested another one and that our food be transferred to the new fridge. When we returned for the night, it was not communicated that our food was taken to the employee fridge, and we didn't know when the food was out in there, so we had to throw the food out. The new fridge also wasn't plugged in, so it was hot. also, the room didn't have enough lighting. There is also no light in the shower area, so it seems like you were taking a shower in the dark. My husband was sleeping in the bed, and I wanted to put my makeup on in a dimly lit bathroom to avoid all the lights being turned on, since you could only access the bathroom light by the master switch that turns on all the lights. Also, didn't appreciate that you had to pay for parking when you're spending over $200 for 1 night. As far as friendliness and cleanliness, A+. Very nice staff, and the hotel was very clean and smelled new.

I’ve never stayed at an Aloft hotel where all the lights above the headboard were fully working. There are always one or two bulbs that are blown out, which is frustrating—especially considering this seems to be a recurring issue across multiple locations. I’ve stayed at several Aloft properties in both Texas and California, and they all seem to have the same problem. It would be great if this could be addressed more consistently before guests check in.
