Set in the progressive, boutique community of Paradise Bay, Casa Sueños is open air design and living at it’s finest. Located only a short 5 minute walk from the beach and downtown San Juan del Sur, Casa Sueños was designed by the renowned architect Christopher Robertson (Pier 39 San Francisco and Finca las Nubes) and represents some of the most luxurious, and beautiful accommodations in San juan del Sur. This private home is perched on a ridge overlooking the beautiful bay of San Juan del Sur and the Pacific Ocean, allowing for both stunning ocean and jungle views, as well as unforgettable sunsets. Enjoy daily visits from the communities local flock of magpie jays, and other wildlife living in the surrounding jungle. Being nestled in one of Central America’s most biologically diverse regions, sightings of sloths, howler monkeys, parakeets, iguanas, margays and hummingbirds are common occurrences for guests at Casa Sueños.

Casa Sueños is more than a rental home, it is also our second home. As a result, we make sure that it is always well maintained, and lacks that cold, rental space feeling. Above all we are delighted to share our wonderful home away from home with you in our absence.

Casa Sueños is a fully air-conditioned 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home boosting high ceilings, cool polished stamped concrete floors, and an open air concept that allows for fresh air to flow throughout the home. Both large bedrooms contain beautiful stone, en-suite bathrooms, large storage spaces, and views of either the ocean or jungle. Both bedrooms are well appointed with fine linens, pillows and two twin beds that can be joined together to make one king at your request.

Attention to detail such as large Japanese style sliding doors, unique locally made wood furniture and window coverings, local artwork, and decor, as well as genuine statues used in the filming of Survivor Nicaragua give the home a uniquely serene and peaceful feel. Casa Sueños provides you with the essential modern conveniences such as Wi-fi available in the home and on the grounds, flat screen TV, and comfortable couches which can be converted into beds. Boundaries between indoors and outdoors blend when sliding walls in the living room open to a large patio with ocean and jungle views.

As devoted foodies, we make sure the kitchen is stocked with everything one would need to make a gourmet meal. Gas range and oven, pots, pans, hand mixer, spices, large mixing and serving bowls, and dishes and cutlery for eight people. A coffee maker and espresso maker allow you to enjoy your cup of world class Nicaraguan coffee whatever way you prefer. A traditional North American style propane BBQ is available for your use, as well as all the necessary BBQ utensils.

Located just above the home is the incredible 15 meter infinity pool boasting an incredible view of the surrounding jungle and the bay of San Juan del Sur. The pool is shared amongst two homes, but rarely do you find yourself sharing it with others. This is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the pacific in the cool, comfortable pool waters. Comfortable pool furniture is provided for your use, and this is an excellent spot to simply relax, enjoy a cocktail, all while listening to the waves crash in the bay.

Casa Sueños is located a short 5 minute walk from the beach and the heart of downtown San Juan del Sur. The location of our home is second to none as a car is not required to take in the culture and amenities of this bustling surfing village. In town you will find fresh fruit and vegetables at the market, craft beer at La Cerveceria, ocean front dining at a number of restaurants, incredible cafe’s and eateries, exciting nightlife, and of course the beautiful San Juan del Sur beach. The gentle waves of San Juan del Sur bay are rarely big enough to surf. If surfing is your thing than we recommend renting a vehicle to drive to the nearby world class surf breaks of Maderas, Hermosa, Remanso, or Yanke.

An English and Spanish speaking “meet and greet” is included in the cost of rental. Our host can help you arrange a variety of activities in the area including zip lining, fishing, horse back riding, boat cruises, surf lessons, professional onsite massages, and spanish lessons. This home also enjoys the benefits of secure private parking, and the security of our gated community. Gardening and pool service is included, laundry service on request.

If you do decide to rent a vehicle a four wheel drive high clearance vehicle is strongly recommended for accessing some of the more remote beaches north and south of San Juan del Sur. If you don’t feel like renting a vehicle to explore the areas around San Juan del Sur than we can arrange a punctual, friendly, and knowledgable driver at approximately the same rate as a car rental
and he can do surf lessons and take pictures of you and your group as you are catching your first waves. If this is a service that you are interested in then we suggest booking early as he is very popular in and around town.

If you don’t want to cook while you are on vacation, or you just want a break from eating at restaurants or preparing meals, we highly recommend that you ask us to arrange for you to have your own local cook and get to taste the exquisite local cuisine. 1) Airport pick up. (The drive from Managua to San Juan del Sur takes about 2.5 hours. If you are landing after 4PM, we recommend you to hire our PICK UP service, that will make it easy for you and us to do the check in, as our property manager will be in constant communication with the driver and they can also take you straight to the house.

3) We can help you arrange tours to the different beaches for surfing, snorkelling or to go turtle watching.
3) Day tours to the different cities away from San Juan del Sur such as Masaya (Market with local souvenirs and volcano), Granada (Colonial city with access to Lake Nicaragua and Las Isletas), Los Pueblos Blancos (Where they sell wooden furniture, pottery and they have the biggest pant nurseries), Ometepe (Island made out of 2 volcanoes that stick out of Lake Nicaragua, which is the only one in the world with fresh water bull sharks). Leon (another colonial city which used to be the capital of Nicaragua), etc.
4) We can get you pretty good deal on car rentals, if you need to rent one while you are here.

Hello and welcome to Casa Sueños. Here is a quick "how to" use our house: The house is managed by Harry and his crew at San Juan del Sur Property management. They will check you in and check you out. Their office is located right beside the cigar shop just down the road from the Uno Gas Station. Harry's personal cell phone number is 8685 0501 and his e-mail address is sjdspm@gmail.com. If you should need anything relating to the house then I would suggest contacting him first. He is very prompt to reply and takes excellent care of the house. If for some reason he can't be reached or isn't responding then reach out to me. If you are for any reason unhappy about anything after you check-in then please contact Harry immediately. The house is fully stocked with enough eating utensils/plates/bowls for as many as 9 guests. There are 4 dining chairs, and 4 patio chairs that can be pushed around the table to accommodate larger groups. The cooking utensils are all brand new and top of the line as well. The stove runs on propane & the propane tank is located behind the house. If the propane should run out during your stay then call Harry and he will come up and change it out immediately. We just switched internet suppliers and the new wifi works great! Login: Casa Sueños Password: suenos2017 There is unlimited usage so go ahead and watch Netflix movies at night if you are so inclined! There is a security system installed on the house and I suggest to all of my clients to use it when they vacate the house. It works amazingly, and if it get's tripped then there will be armed guards at the house within 2 minutes. It works exactly like your car alarm. There is a key FOB that has 2 buttons on it one arms the system and the other disarms it. Under the stairs to the loft is a "panic" button that essentially trips the alarm. Only push this when you feel you are in danger, or if someone has gotten seriously hurt. When I say these guys are at the house in 2 minutes I am not exaggerating...I accidentally tripped the alarm while I was leaving the house and the guards were in the driveway behind me before I could back out. Under the cabinet to the left of the kitchen sink there is a hotel safe. It can be armed with any card (bank card/credit card) that has a magnetic stripe...or alternatively you can enter a 3-6 digit code followed by the "#" to lock it, and then when you return simply enter the same 3-6 digit code and it will open. You need to use the "#" to lock it and set the pass code every time you use the safe. Make sure to leave the safe unlocked when you leave so the next guests can use it. If for some reason you forget your code, or can't open the safe for whatever reason then please contact Harry and he will return with the master key to open it for you. If you fill the hotel safe under the sink, there is another safe under the sink in the master bathroom. This is a key only safe, and isn't quite as easy to use...the lock is a bit hard to turn and requires a bit of shaking of the key to get it to lock/unlock. It does work, but it's not ideal. Pool hours are 7:00a.m. to 10:00p.m. No glassware is allowed up by the pool. There are plenty of plastic cups to take cocktails to the pool with, and when you're buying beer please buy cans instead of bottles. The pool is shared with our sister house Casa Colina so please have respect for whoever is staying at the other house. I find it's best to send your most social guest up to introduce themselves to the other guests staying at the other house & try to get a read of what type of people they are. If it seems like they're there for a quiet get-away then try to keep the noise down at the pool. If they're a group of people similar to yours then invite them to meet you at the pool for a few beverages & see where it leads! We've met a bunch of great people this way and it makes for a really enjoyable stay for guests of the two houses. Bring a bluetooth speaker with you! We have a really good Bose speaker at the house, but it is NOT allowed to be taken up to the pool, so if you want music up by the pool bring your favourite portable speaker. The pool deck gets quite slippery when wet, so try to avoid horseplay on it or someone might get hurt. Also, the path coming down to our house from the pool is a little bit steep and can get a little slippery when wet so it's best to dry feet off before walking down the path. Lastly, and this goes without saying for most of our guests, please clean up after yourself when you're done using the pool. If you do get to know people at the other house please don't take any of the linens/cutlery etc from one house to the other house. We are 2 separate owners and anything missing from our house after check-out will be deducted from your damage deposit. There is air-conditioning in all rooms of our house. Electricity in Nicaragua is extremely expensive so please use the A/C only when you need it. The living room has 2 large Japanese style sliding doors and 2 large ceiling fans to circulate the air in the living room to keep you comfortable. The 2 bedrooms A/C units are very strong and can be too cold at times. I would suggest using them for 30 minutes before falling asleep and then shutting them off. If you leave them on then the room gets too cold & you wake up shivering. There are fans in both of the rooms to keep the air circulating while you sleep. MAKE SURE YOU TURN OFF THE A/C UNITS WHEN YOU LEAVE THE HOUSE FOR THE DAY! If after your stay we deem electricity usage as overly excessive we may keep part of the damage deposit to offset the extra costs of the electricity. The house is non-smoking. Smoking in the house will result in loss of your entire damage deposit. There are a few surf DVD's for you and your group to enjoy before heading out to the beach for some waves! Enjoy! There is one large bottle of fresh water for every reservation. Once it's gone you're on your own for fresh water. These large water bottles can be purchased at the Pali for $5.

Great location! Lots of room

The house was exactly as described. Close to town, room for families, fully stocked kitchen and wifi worked great. Eli is the best! He will make your airport transfer a pleasurable drive. We also had surf lessons from Eli. He was very patient even though we are not surfer material. Katarina cooked a meal of steak and lobster for us that was great. I believe Rob has two of the nicest people in San Juan Del Sur taking care of his guests if you choose. The hill up to the house is quite steep but cabs are cheap. There were four of us so we rented a side by side for a couple of days to go to the beaches and explore town.

Fantastic Stay in San Juan Del Sur

Great location,great property, and great owner. Three of us rented the house for a week there is easily room for 8. The house has everything you need and is spotlessly clean and new. The location and view from the house is great. The house is up a hill about a 5 minute walk from the centre of town and is in a very secure safe location. The house is very peaceful as it is set up on the hill in the forest it has a patio and a couple of hammocks to lounge in. A stellar view of SJDS bay from the house and also the pool which is located just above the house which is very private great for cooling down and having a couple of drinks in the afternoon. On the recommendation of Rob the owner we also hired Katalina to cook breakfast every morning for us and she also prepared two dinners for us (Steak and lobster and Mahi mahi with all the fixings) she is a fantastic chef and would highly recommend hiring her for your stay. She is very friendly and helpful and is also great if you want to practice your Spanish - she was very patient with me!. Rob also put us in touch with Eli a local that took us surfing and gave us surf lessons. We went out with him for two days at Playa Remanso and had a blast surfed -or tried to surf.....and had a good time hanging out on the beach. We also hired him for transport back and forth to Granada . He got us around safely and we also got to get know him and he got the local perspective from him he is fluent in english. I would highly recommend him for transport /surfing or if you need to do anything else during your stay.A real honest and genuine guy and really fun just to hang out with. Great place to stay and Rob the owner is very responsive and very helpful with making sure you will have a great time. Would definitely stay here again!
