Villa San Sebastián is located next to all the nightlife and restaurants of Calle San Sebastian and a short walk from El Morro Spanish Fort and the Old San Juan Cathedral

NEARBY CONSTRUCTION NOISE (ADDED ON 12/3/2024): THE BUILDING IN FRONT OF VILLA SAN SEBASTIAN, STARTED AN ONGOING CONSTRUCTION/RENOVATION AND NOISE IS EXPECTED AT OUR UNIT.

THIS WILL BE GOING ON FOR AT LEAST EIGHT (8) MONTHS FROM MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY FROM 6:00AM UNTIL 3:00PM.

ALSO, THIS APARTMENT OVERLOOKS THE STREET - GUESTS WILL HEAR STREET NOISE AT NIGHT, SPECIALLY FRIDAY TO SATURDAY, AND THAT IS PART OF THE CHARM!

LIVING AREAS

Enter Villa San SebastiĂĄn to a fantastic newly decorated space. The layout includes a comfortable living room with an L-shaped sofa and flat-screen TV, a 6-person dining table, and a fully stocked kitchen. All this is encompassed by the spectacular triple-door balcony that oversees San Se' street. Open up all the doors to enjoy all the natural sunlight. The villa has air conditioning, ceiling fans, and WIFI.

SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS

Villa San Sebastián’s master bedroom is appointed with a king bed that is outfitted with fresh linens for each stay. The king-sized bed is composed of two XLtwin beds seamlessly combined, offering spacious comfort. The second bedroom is a cozy space that features a queen bed. This apartment has a maximum occupancy of 4 guests.

PACK AND PLAY (SUBJECT TO AVAILABILITY): We can leave a complimentary Pack and Play at the property upon request. This should be requested upon booking or no later than 5 days before arrival. Pack and Plays are subject to availability.

KITCHEN

Villa San SebastiĂĄn kitchen greets you as soon as you enter the apartment. The kitchen is simple yet modern and features a fridge, a microwave, a toaster oven/air fryer combo, a coffee maker, a sink, and a 4-burner stove. It is fully stocked with everything you might need for an extended stay. Dinnerware and a small cooking pot set are included.

LOCATION

Staying in Old San Juan is a truly unique experience filled with charm and character. From Villa San SebastiĂĄn, you can comfortably walk anywhere within Old San Juan. The apartment is located in the heart of it all, just steps away from all the action. We recommend taking a cab or Uber from the airport and using Uber while you stay at Old San Juan. Renting a car is not necessary unless you are planning on road-tripping. This is a truly walkable location with everything you need a short walk away. The apartment does not include parking. Nonetheless, there are convenient parking lots close to the apartment.

There are many things to do in the surrounding areas, here are some of our favorites, all within walking distance:

Explore the El Morro Fort. There are daily tours of the fort and the large green areas have spectacular ocean views. Take a tour, have a picnic, and fly a kite. This is a must-do.

Explore the iconic Calle San Sebastian nightlife. There is a large assortment of bars on this strip which is a favorite among locals on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Breakfast at “La Mallorca”. This is a Puerto Rican landmark well known for its locally inspired breakfast and pastries.

Savor Stuffed Avocado. Healthy and "trendy" spot where you can create your own avocado bowl.

Take a stroll around “Paseo La Princesa”, a waterfront walkway which you can start off at El Morro and finish of the walk with a rum tasting at Princesa Gastrobar at the end of the trail.

GETTING AROUND

This property does not include parking. If staying within the general San Juan/Metro area, we recommend moving around via Uber. If you decide to rent a car, there are various paid parking garages around Old San Juan - pricing varies as some charge by the hour and others have a flat rate.

AMENITIES

West Indies strives to deliver top-notch service and amenities to guarantee our guests feel at home while visiting our properties. All of our properties are outfitted with freshly laundered bed linens and towels. We provide 2 bath towels per guest and 1 beach towel per guest. Our properties typically include at least 2 beach chairs and an ice cooler.

West Indies provides the disposable amenities necessary to get your vacation off to a comfortable start. These amenities include 1 set of hotel size soaps and shampoos per bathroom, 3 garbage bags, 1 roll of paper towel, 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 dish soap, 1 dish sponge, and a small amount of laundry detergent. We do not provide unlimited disposable amenities. It is your responsibility to review what is included in the property and stock with whatever else may be needed for the duration of your stay.

HOUSE RULES

Check-in time is at 4:00 pm
Check-out time is at 11:00 am
NO SMOKING: Smoking is strictly prohibited. A smoking fee of $500 will be charged if violated.
NO PETS: No pets are allowed at any time. A $300 fine will be charged if violated and you will be expelled from the property.
The host will not pay for a hotel, vacation rental, or transportation expenses incurred because of an interruption in water or electrical service. If water or electricity is interrupted for more than 3 hours, guests have the option of canceling their reservation and requesting a refund for the nights not used. Under no circumstances will we refund consumed nights.
All bookings are contingent on signing a short-term rental agreement that will be sent via email. It must be signed within 48 hours of booking or before entering the property, whichever happens first.
Maximum occupancy of 4 adults/children at all times. This includes visitors.
Max. occupancy is strictly enforced and exceeding it may result in immediate cancellation of booking or being expelled from the property.
Towels and linens must only be used for their intended purpose. Do not stain them with food, grease or any other substance. Do not use towels to clean up any mess. Stained towels/linens will be charged.
Do not hang towels from the balcony or windows. A $100 fine may be applied if you break this rule.

Amazing location, sweet apartment

Our family of 4 stayed here for 3 nights in July. Such a perfect location, and had all the amenities we needed. Check-in was super easy, and Agatha was a text away if we needed anything.

Beautiful, spacious, clean!

My family and I enjoyed our stay tremendously. Our stay was just as pictured. There was a bit of construction noise (as advertised) from a nearby reno and a bit of late night street noise, but that’s just Calle Sebastian for you! With us visiting with family we only needed a safe, cool place to lay our heads. Our stay was as expected, comfortable, inviting, and spacious. Our host was communicative and accommodating. We will definitely look to stay with West Indies for our future travels.

Excellent Stay

En general esta propiedad es una opcion excelente. Tiene lo necesario para pasar unos dias ahĂ­, tienen toallas para la playa y sillas que considero un plus muy bueno. Como otros comentarios mencionaron, el ruido de afuera puede ser muy fuerte a ciertas horas. HabĂ­a construcciĂłn en otras propiedades y empezaban tan temprano como a las 5:30Am. Para nosotros no fue problema ya que solo fue una estadia de 3 noches. En general la limpieza estaba muy bien, las sillas y sillones de la sala necesitan una limpieza profunda ya que tienen algunas manchas. Es un departamento muy bonito! Si volveriamos a hospedarnos ahĂ­.

Small rooms, loud cars and lots of remotes

The property is in a great location and the shared living area and balcony area are lovely. We had a few things that weren't all that great - some of which are uncontrollable, and I get that. The noise from cars racing down the main street (a block away) was really bad in the main bedroom. This went on until early morning. The rooms are really small, which I'm fine with because it's just for sleeping but we didn't have room for our luggage in the main bedroom so we had to leave them in the living room. Not a big deal but inconvenient. Lastly, there are a ridiculous number of remotes to control fans and lights and some of the remotes were controlling multiple units so we ended up with situation where turning on the light in the back room turned it on in the main room - and there was no way to turn it off without the remote. The second night, the light turned on randomly and when we tried to turn it off, it kept coming back on so it could be that there is yet another remote on the same frequency. They need to program all the remotes on different frequencies and make sure to label them. Again, not a huge deal, but it did disrupt our sleep on both nights so just not ideal.
