**Please note that Sanibel Island is open for business! Bandy Beach A101 has been welcoming guests since June 2024. All public beach accesses are open, there are over 50 restaurants now open, and many stores including Jerry’s Grocery. Some areas of our island are under construction, but this should not impact your enjoyment. !!The pool is now open!! ***The elevator is NOT operational with no projected finish date.***

Nestled at the end of a shell covered lane with views of the Gulf of Mexico, Bandy Beach is a quaint 10-unit complex located on the quiet East End of Sanibel. Bandy Beach A101 is a breathtaking and spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom stilted Gulf-front condo that can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. Following Hurricane Ian, this condo was taken down to the studs and built back with all new flooring and paint throughout, brand new AC unit, a modern kitchen with everything you need to make all your meals in-house and stunning bathrooms. To complete the look, you will enjoy all new, upscale furniture, area rugs and décor with a chic coastal vibe in blues and natural tones.

Your primary suite looks out over the Gulf of Mexico with all new bedding & king-sized mattress, and a Smart TV. A luxurious ensuite bathroom offers a large walk-in shower, spacious countertop with 2 sinks and heated tile floor. The second bedroom also has views of the Gulf, new bedding & king-sized mattress, and Smart TV. The third cozy bedroom is just down the hall with new bedding and 2 twin mattresses. The guest bedrooms share a coastal inspired bathroom with shower/tub combo and heated flooring.

After a long day at the beach hunting for the perfect shell or exploring Ding Darling to catch a glimpse of the island’s native wildlife, you can look forward to watching the game on a large Smart TV in the living room or enjoying some family time playing a game around the dining table. More memories can be made on your private lanai which overlooks the heated pool and the Gulf of Mexico. The lanai runs the full length of the unit with an area for dining and a comfortable spot for 2 to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or an evening cocktail. The unit is stocked with beach towels and beach equipment is stored on the ground level – perfect for those long-awaited days on the beach!

Additional amenities include: community heated pool (currently not operational), covered parking, boardwalk to the beach and a community use gas grill. Bandy Beach is a non-smoking property. There is a semi-private elevator for your use (currently not operational).

Sanibel Holiday's units are equipped with the latest Wi-Fi enabled locks offering easy check in and check out with no need to pick up or return keys. Everyone in the family can have access with one simple and, most importantly, secure code.

Great Family Vacation!

The property and location were great. We loved the closeness to the beach and the pool. The condo was very well stocked and had everything that we needed. The only issue we had were the beds- they were not the most comfortable and definitely needs updated. We knew this going in because of all the comments made by other guest. We all agreed we would come back!

Large Clean and Updated Condo!

We rented this 3 bed, condo for a week and it was a huge upgrade compared to what we usually rent on the gulf. This very spacious condo was decorated nicely and everything seemed new. It was also spotless, don’t think I found one single hair, and that has never happened to me! Even though we rented at peek season the complex was quiet. We enjoyed the well heated and clean pool everyday and were surprised to find it empty most of those days. The beach was also pretty quiet and definitely clean. We loved that this condo provided beach towels, beach umbrella, toys buckets, a few beach chairs, and two or three loungers for us to use! We enjoyed looking for shells on one of the days as the ocean decided to wash up some good ones and even got to see a dolphin swimming close to shore. The only thing I wasn’t happy with was that the sunset was a little behind some of the neighboring condos (I am a big fan of the sunsets when I’m on vacation in Florida) I believe we were looking southeast at the gulf so in that case we did see sunrises over the city of FortMyers. For a plus though - by facing mostly South, we could be in a great position in our chairs for getting sun while looking out into the gulf for most of the day. I loved how much lush plants and palm trees there were on the property as well as the island! We rented a car for the week but might have been a good idea to rent bicycles as well because the one main road is packed with cars most of the day. There was a quaint little strip businesses one block away that sold wonderful ice cream and bakery, sandwiches, beach gear, clothes, and also a very good cafe that offered dine in or take out. If you are not in love with crowds and care a lot about staying in a beautiful clean and spacious condo and complex, on an amazing island this is the perfect one to rent!

Great location beautiful views

Property very nice and very convenient to the beach and east end. You can tell it is a rental machine as the furniture was more worn than the photos show. Second bathroom is very small for sharing of two bedrooms. Also, no photos of the doors because they are 1960’s type luan that you can hear a pin drop from the other side. Master bedroom mattress really should be repaired or replaced with the noises it makes. Outside overhand is great and that furniture is updated. Desirable area if you like quiet. Would rent this property again.

The Beds

The place was very nice, clean, roomy but....the beds. With such a nice place you can't skimp on the beds. They were very uncomfortable. The first night my wife and I tried the master bed. It was so uncomfortable that we tried just me in the bed and my wife took one of the twin beds. The twins are on wheels so they move about and they are like beds you get when you ask for an extra role out in a motel. That second night was so painful on my back I remember waking 3 times that night trying to stretch my back out in pain. I tried a pillow between my legs, on my back or in a ball and nothing helped. I remember thinking with others soon arriving that I would have to leave for home and give them the other large bed and the 2 twins because there was no way I could handle the bed another night. What eventually happened is that I took the other king size bed where I could get at least 6 hours before back pain, my daughter took the master bed and able to tolerate and my wife and son took the 2 twins. We managed but each night was difficult for everyone. My wife called management about this and they said they would look into it but nothing was done. The beds are spring beds with a thin top layer and squeak. No one in the condo had a good night sleep. This is a nice condo, and sleep is so important so don't skimp on beds when a good night sleep is a big part of a great vacation

Great place!

Great property!! Steps from beach. Partial beach view. Nice condo. Semi private elevator. Only two things would improve stay....beach chairs/umbrellas for use and better mattress. Overall this has been one of our favorite places to stay on Sanibel. Would love to stay again

Good location just not much beach view from property.

Rental was extremely easy and with the covid-19 issue abound they were very informative when called and inquired. Only 2 stars given on property owner communication as wasn't any. Only communication was with booking people.

Nice property, great location

Not always easy to find a rental with 2 king-sized beds. Clean and comfortable, this property is in a great location close to the lighthouse. When traffic gets bad on Sanibel (most of the winter), you will appreciate this less busy end of the island. Only 10 units on this property, nice pool, covered parking, walking distance to Lighthouse Cafe (great breakfasts) and an ice cream shop. Good shelling on this part of the beach as well.
