I really like the quaintness of the property and the great room we got. Excellent view. The shower grout should have been a different color or sealed better.
We had an amazing stay at the Wine Valley Inn. It is in a great location to walk all around downtown Solvang easily. The staff was kind and helpful and there is even wine offered in the evenings. Clean, beautiful room.
I loved staying in a cottage, it was so homey! My kids did not want to leave. We were a bit disappointed that our cottage didnât have access to a hot tub. Based on the photos, we thought the hot tubs were accessible for all, but they are sectioned off for specific cottages. For families traveling with their pets, the area reserved for dogs to relieve themselves is filled with dead grass and weeds and my dog ended up with a lot of stickers in her fur. So while they are technically dog friendly, it is not very accommodating. Despite the drawbacks, the aesthetic of the property makes it a worthwhile experience.
Very convenient location. The main stretch of Solvang is within walking distance. Parking, neighborhood, and everything else were very nice. We had a room in the back of the unit. The running water sound, perhaps from a nearby fountain in the backyard was a little bit noisy. Otherwise, everything else was great!
very welll located near Paula's Pancake house and Mission blvd walkable stores and tasting rooms. The place is dated, even after a facelift of furnishings and ne bath vanities, it still show it's age in teh shower room and creeky doors that woudl not close shut. I really did not like that there was balls of dog hair next to the dresser and the coffee maker. So gross and disgusting. I asked, they told me all room are dog-friendly and supposedly "we do a deep cleaning after each dog stay" not true. I don't like dogs, so I will not stay here again. I shoud have asked before boodking... my bad. Free Coffee at breakfast was good. But fr $300/night, it was below par for me.
The hotel is charming and very close to the main area of shops and restaurants. Unfortunately the beds in the double bed rooms were the most uncomfortable beds Iâve ever slept on. They were so hard and squeaky. Also the walls are thin, so you hear every sound and when the upstairs people shower it sounds like your room is about to flood.
