Loved the place and the location. Property wasn’t ready on time . I had to wait til 447 pm. Good thing I didn’t pay for the early arrival, also I couldn’t bring my dog because the discloser stated that my pet couldn’t be over 45lbs. Something I didn’t see until I had payed . I tried to call the property manager and left a message 2 days prior with no answer, so I just left my dog at home .

Cute house updated very clean short walk to beach. I traveled with 2 dogs nice to have a fenced backyard. My little 23 pound dog did find a couple of openings in fence. I would stay there again

Great location perfect for family

We made a last minute decision for a beach weekend in Santa Cruz . With our 2 kiddos and dog, this was a perfect vacation spot for us. The location was great. We walked to Twin Lakes Beach and Boardwalk, Harbor Cafe, coffee shops and markets. The two bedrooms was perfect to give all of us room for privacy and spreading out. We had one maintenance concern with a leaking shower head spraying on the wall. The service team was not able to fix it during our short stay, but they responded that they will do that right after.

Wonderful gem!

Our family of 3, plus 2 small dogs, had a blast at this cottage. The location cannot be beat (easy walk to the beach), and the cottage was lovely. It had a nicely outfitted kitchen and great sectional for lounging. Relaxing vibe, responsive to our questions - definitely recommend!

Overall great stay with minor issues

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was perfect for my two children (2 yr and 3 mo), my friend and myself. Lets start with the minor issues. I wish the kitchen was better stocked, there was no cooking oil of any type, all the seasonings were random and some extremely old, no coffee, only one pair of tongs and one spatula, they had empty boxes for ziplocs. It was just overall lacking in supplies that are usually provided in rentals. The beds were not very comfortable. Last issue was the windows, not all stayed open or had screens and it would get warm inside everyday around 3pm even with the ac on which really didn't work. It was so nice and breezy outside too so it was frustrating not being able to cool down the house. Now onto the positives. We loved the location as it was super close to the beach. They had a wagon available for use which was very helpful! The backyard was super cute and we spent in between time snacking back there while the toddler played in the grass. (I think it was my favorite feature). Everything was very clean and the bath towels were the best I have experienced. So soft and fluffy and clean. The water pressure in the shower was amazing.. The access into the house was great. It was a simple keypad lock. Like I said, overall we had a wonderful stay but if they invested a little more into kitchen supplies, better mattresses and some ac/window maintenance it would have been perfect.

Nice, clean and quite!

The place was nice quiet and clean. We had a great time there it was exactly what we’re looking for a place to relax near the beach. Only one bad thing was that there was a lot of flies inside the house I think they need to either spray with some thing or have a professional come over the property and take care of the problem.

Just what we needed

This is such a lovely cottage. It has all the necessities and we felt right at home. Just a short 5-10min walk to the beach. The house even has an outdoor shower in the backyard to get the sand rinsed off. I stayed with my husband, our 9 year old daughter and our small dog. We all loved our stay and didn’t want to leave. One note, if you tend to use more than a minimal amount of paper products you may want to bring a backup of your own. We ran out of both toilet paper and paper towels during our stay. Also no Kleenex was stocked. Thank you for the great getaway and we hope to be back again one day!

Loved this house and would stay here again. Great location, nice indoor space and outdoor space allows time in the front people watching or privacy in the backyard. BeachNest allowed delayed checkout which was much appreciated.

Perfect Location

The house is great. It's older, but has been updated, and we found it comfortable and very clean. We were greeted with a supply of surface wipes, masks, and hand sanitizer for our use, sitting on the kitchen table., when we arrived. The kitchen is well stocked. Loved the outdoor amenities. The outdoor shower is key for not tracking sand into the place! Beds are pretty comfy. We cooked most of our own meals, but there's literally a deli/liquor store and a really good, fresh take out sushi spot out the backyard gate, which came in handy for beach picnics. The beach isn't even a ten minute walk, as are some other restaurants at the harbor. There's a tasty breakfast spot just a few blocks away. Parking is in the driveway, which is nice since the street is permit parking. And, the neighbors were pleasant and friendly. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely consider staying here again, in the future.

Exactly what you want from a beach house rental

Awe had everything we needed to feel right at home, which is saying a lot, as we were evacuated from our home due to fire hazard. Great location with easy access to beach. Loved the spaciousness and open feeling of the cottage. Highly recommend.
