Upon arriving into town we asked for an early check in. We were told to come in around 1:30pm to see if a room was clean, which we did. We were told there was a fee of $35 which was not originally stated in the phone call. That was okay, we paid it and checked in. We got into to the room and the room lock would not lock and kept spinning, the tub spout was taped up with plumbers tape but was leaking. The screen on the outside window had looked like somebody broke in previously and was almost non existent and was mangled. We could not get ice from the ice machine as the bottom of the ice machine was filthy with pink and white buildup that looked like mold or a film of some sort. We asked for another room where the locks worked and were denied because they were sold out and busy. Will not return

The entry doors were broken except the lobby entrance and one other side entrance. There was no refrigerator, microwave, or blow dryer. The staff was nice. Other than that a poor experience.

Property and hotel is shabby. Room was clean. Seems like a lack of security for property, felt dangerous. Only the front doors seemed accessible. Makes for along walk if you're at he bck of the hotelNo refrigerator or microwave. Not that low of a price for the night

This place has the potential to be amazing. The room was VERY spacious and had plenty of seating areas. If renovation and proper housekeeping (along with staff attitudes) took place, this would be worth staying at again. The check in process was easy but the guy was very stern and lied to us about entry into the building. We arrived after 10, and was given a choice for a room without a TV or without a mirror, because all the good rooms were sold to those that arrived earlier. We drove to the back of the building where our room was located and could not get into any of the entry doors. We had to walk on the outside to the front of the building to get in. The linens were clean, but there were nail clippings on the floor, food in the fridge and toilet paper roll and trash behind the bathroom door. The sink faucet was floppy and dripped water all over the counter. Our socks were filthy from walking on the dirty carpet. The bed is hard as a rock. There is no bedbug protector on the mattress and the mattress itself was incredibly gross and aged. I do not plan to stay here again, as you get what you paid for. There was a reason that it was the only affordable hotel in town during the balloon fiesta.
Very spacious. Looks clean from afar, but the carpet was so dirty.

As much as I want to give this property a chance, they just kept on giving me a reason not to. Room was dirty, top shelfs looked liked they have not been cleaned in a year, found a women's underwear underneath luggage stand. They did not clean my room, even though I asked front desk and I left the sign exactly the way they asked me. Also, an employee walked in on me when I was changing. Vehicles without license plates drive around property, never felt safe with my vehicle. This has to be the 1st negative review I have given in 10 years or more for any property.

Toilet ran for four days we were there. Informed desk attendant. He tried to fix it but couldn’t. Never heard another thing. Shower valve was very hard to use. Finally the room had a musty odor.

Avoid this hotel. My room had two pieces of furniture, A bed and a cabinet with two large holes it it where, I suspect used to be a refrigerator and a microwave oven. I could not understand the person at the front desk. He had a very heavy East Indian accent. There were two back doors that were kept locked so that guests could not get out and homeless people in the area could not get in. I worried a lot about what we would do if there was a fire in the building. There was an ice machine in the hallway that had an "out of order" sign on it that must have been years old. When I complained about the "no ice available" they put a new "out of order" sign on the machine. Our bathroom had a small separate room where the shower and toilet were located. The light didn't work in that small room and it was black-out dark in there. I made multiple calls for an hour and a half trying to get a bulb replacement. The response was that their maintenance person had already gone home. Hallway carpets were dirty. Handrails on the stairs (there were no elevators) had been replaced with light weight aluminum tubing that was screwed together. It was failing badly and the joints were a hazard for pinching your hands. Avoid this hotel

FYI. The room was not the same as pictured on the site. The hotel is an older hotel and I can see the improvements that are being made. However, the carpet going up the stairs need to be replaced. The rate did match for what the hotel room was. We didnt get enough face towels for two days and had to ask for additional towels but it seems like the hotel is a place where one night is a standard. The room had a fridge but as for a microwave the guest will need to go to the lobby. Overall there are no hard complaints and as mentioned it seem like the hotel is in a transition to becoming a better place.
