Duck Duck Goose is located in the lovely neighborhood of Grove by the Sea in Seagrove Beach. This single-story 3 bedroom, 3 bath cottage is 500 yards from the beach and less than one mile from the charming town of Seaside. On North Andalusia Avenue, there are 2 community pools, a playground for the children and a tennis court, shaded under the trees that gives the community it’s name. Square footage is 1592.
Pools are not heated in the winter.

Pets considered with prior approval and pet fee.

This 3 bedroom, 3 bath cottage sleeps 9 with a sleeper sofa and its fun and charming decor. Duck Duck Goose has a charming screened-in porch and inside our home you will find a beach cottage atmosphere. This is a one-story home.

Very cute vacation home with lots of character!!

Great location, we love the neighborhood! Loved all the art work throughout!! The kitchen could use some Rubbermaid container & couple more bowls. Outside of the front steps needing replaced & a few webs in the master bedroom ceiling corners this home was cozy & was a great beach home!!

Loved Our Stay!!

We had the best time in our Duck Duck Goose beach cottage! It was clean and decorated so cute! We will miss that screened in porch. Much more spacious than we expected. Close to everything. We’d definitely stay here again!

We had a good stay but probably wouldn’t recommend this particular house again. We have stayed in many houses in the neighborhood. Needs updating and no refund policy if you need to change date etc.

Great stay

We had a great trip to Seagrove Beach and this was the perfect neighborhood for the visit. This home is in the front section of the neighborhood which makes for a shorter trip to the beach. Biking to the beach was a breeze. The home was perfect for what we needed and we had no issues while there. A gas grill instead of the charcoal grill would be a great addition but it was still a breeze.

Mostly Positive But Some Mixed Feelings

Overall my family had a great trip, but I have mixed feelings about this property. I decided to do a pro/con list so that you can decide what's important for your own stay. TL/DR - I would stay here again, but it wouldn't be my first choice. PROS: 1) The location is excellent. This neighborhood is quiet and is close to everything you need. It has two pools, which are kept very clean and never seemed to be crowded. I love this area of 30A, so this is a big plus. 2) The inside of the property was very clean when we arrived...although we did have some issues (see below). But considering that we traveled during the pandemic, I was relieved. The property has a cabin-like feel (older furniture and bedding), but with updated bathroom and kitchen fixtures. The screen porch is wonderful and very roomy! 3) The property manager emailed me very quickly when we had issues. I feel like if I had wanted more contact, someone would have answered me, so that was good. CONS 1) Unfortunately, we had maintenance issues during our stay. The ice maker was broken on arrival, but I didn't request a service visit because we don't use a lot of ice. But then we had a smoke detector go off in the middle of the night for low battery. And then the washing machine (which is very old) had a huge puddle of water under it. Luckily it was our last day when that happened. But having so many problems was a bummer, because you don't want to think about maintenance when you're on vacation. 2) The outside of the property needs some TLC. It was a little dreary looking and needs the gutters cleaned and the yard cleaned up. I was glad the inside was so clean overall...although we ended up having to kill a few roaches in the master bath! 3) The property manager was responsive with our issues, but unfortunately did not tell us *when* the service visit was happening for the washer. We got back from dinner, and it was clear someone had been in the house, but there was no note. Was the washer fixed? We never heard from anyone about it, so it was confusing. But it was our last day, so we didn't dwell on it. Like I said above, I think if I had asked more questions I would have been answered, but it would have been nice for the manager to send a note letting us know that someone had entered the property and if the issue was resolved. Overall, the appeal of the location and the neighborhood outweighed the inconvenience of the maintenance issues, so I would still recommend this property.
