Aplada Suites has a beautiful layout and a great plunge pool, but several issues made our stay far less comfortable than expected — mainly due to missing information and poor management.
Although the unit is technically within the main property area, there is a long walk to reach it, and none of this was disclosed beforehand. The distance and terrain make it inconvenient, especially when returning uphill.
Inside the unit, the mattress is placed directly on a concrete slab, which affects comfort. The AC is locked at 25°C (77°F) with no option to adjust, and the property provides only one key, which is impractical for more than one guest.
Management also enforces very strict occupancy rules that feel excessive and create an uncomfortable atmosphere, as if guests are being monitored rather than welcomed. When we reported that several outlets and lights were not working, the response we received was simply, “If it’s not working then it’s not working,” which was dismissive and unhelpful.
The home itself is spacious and the plunge pool is a highlight, but the lack of transparency and the management’s attitude overshadowed what could have been a great stay. Future guests should be aware of these issues before booking.
