Property is very well located.
Near subway, walkable, park nearby, restaurants. Staff is excellent. Parking is available. Only thing is, the rooms are dated. Getting old. Carpet needs to be changed. Corridors are dark gloomy. It is one of the oldest hotels in Sapporo.

Very corporate hotel which doesn't quite hit the target.
Main issues
Heating
You couldn't control the temperature of your room. We were there in spring and the centralised heating was on. Our room was on the south side of tbe hotl so when the sun shone it was an oven and stayed baking all night. Reception said there was no cooling available because it was all controlled centrally. After much discussion the eventually unlocked the window. It was then cool enough to sleep except for the howling of the wind.
Breakfast
I know it caters for their home market and the Japanese food was nice but the western food offering was inedible. Raw sausages, practically raw eggs, very odd bacon.
Staff
Far too many of them and embarrasingly over attentive. I know this is a cultural thing but I've travelled a fair bit in Japan and never noticed it to this extreme before.
Concierge really helped me out when I forgot to book an advanced seat for the highway bus. They took care of everything swiftly and promptly! This hotel was right outside of Nakajima park which was a great walk especially in the middle of winter.
The staff of this space were beyond wonderful however the side walks of the property were dangerously unkept and icy. For the price I was expecting a much more modern room.
Hotel is a bit old fashioned, where you have to use a real key to open the room door. Also they require you to hand the keys at the lobby when you go out.
Hotel has nice view. Despite an old hotel, this hotel do maintain high level of cleanliness and we can hardly see any stains on the furniture / wall. Staff are all friendly and approachable. However, it’s time to change the chairs as it looks old and torn. But the rest of the furniture looks new. The bed linen is rough and bed is too firm. Decoration around the hotel is superb especially during Christmas season, it does give people the Christmas atmosphere.
The Park Hotel in Sapporo is great value these days. The cheaper rooms are a bit tired but if you get a park view room and include breakfast you will have a great stay. The hotel’s Japanese and Chinese restaurants are excellent and the surrounding Nakajimakoen park is beautiful. It’s my favorite place to stay in the fabulous city of Sapporo!
**What we liked:**
- Delicious breakfast
- Helpful staff
- Quiet location, near train
- Convenient parking
- Large room with 3 twin beds
**Didn't like as much:**
- Slightly "dated" rooms, kinda "old" feeling
- Not as many restaurants in walking distance as more central areas
Clean but Very dated. Room was clean but small bathroom with dark lighting. Looks like your own bathroom in regular household. Buffet breakfast- food was good enough but the staff did not take away finished plates. They piled up on the table- but next table with Japanese couple had theirs taken away promptly. Did not appreciated that.
The Sapporo Park is located next to a large beautiful park – Nakajima Park – recommend getting a superior room with a park view. I found this to be excellent value for the money – even though the rooms were a bit dated.
The breakfast was fine and a good value – you have two choices – a buffet on the 1st floor or a set Japanese meal on the 11th floor. The buffet in the 1st floor restaurant also has a good choice of Japanese breakfast offerings.
The hotel is located on the Namboku Subway line – get off at the Nakajima Koen stop and take exit 3. The Hotel will be steps ahead going straight. If it is raining when you leave, however, beware that exit 3 only has escalators going up – walk a bit further to exit 1 for an elevator.
