Agréable séjour à SARLAT dans la "Maison d'Elise"

TrĂšs beau gĂźte, tout proche de la vieille ville Sarlat, dans un environnement calme et plaisant. Accueil sympathique et propriĂ©taires trĂšs disponibles. Un bĂ©mol pour un sĂ©jour d'hiver : la cheminĂ©e mentionnĂ©e dans le descriptif n'est pas fonctionnelle. Pour un sĂ©jour d'Ă©tĂ©, la piscine et le jardin doivent ĂȘtre trĂšs plaisants. Et la ville de Sarlat est tout simplement magnifique !

Une maison de rĂȘve

Nous avons passĂ© une semaine en famille dans cette maison de rĂȘve. Tout est fait pour ĂȘtre heureux. La piscine est incroyable le cadre est superbe l’emplacement est parfait. on peut aller Ă  pied au centre ville de sarla et tout proche de multiples activitĂ©s en voiture. Et les propriĂ©taires sont d’une gentillesse absolue. A recommander les yeux fermĂ©s.

La maison d'Elise is a home with authentic charm, where you will be warmly welcomed by the owner, Annie, and her husband Michel. They will provide excellent advice to plan your daily trips and will make your stay easier. There are plenty of wonderful places to visit nearby and the old medieval town of Sarlat is really lively. The centre is a ten minute walk from the house. The house is located in a quiet area, but still really close the center of Sarlat. The terrace nicely overlooks the garden and you won't be disturbed by noise nor neighbors. The house is really clean and comfy and we really enjoyed our stay there. I strongly recommend this rental. SĂ©jour de rĂȘve Ă  la Maison d'Élise! (du 4 au 8 juillet 2017)

Nous avons Ă©tĂ© accueillis trĂšs chaleureusement par la propriĂ©taire, Mme Bersars. Sa magnifique maison, de plus de trois siĂšcles, possĂšde toutes les commoditĂ©s nĂ©cessaires et plus encore. Elle est grande, confortable, dĂ©corĂ©e avec goĂ»t, et aprĂšs de longues journĂ©es de visites touristiques, comme il faisait bon se prĂ©lasser sur la terrasse! Sa situation gĂ©ographique est idĂ©ale. En retrait, mais Ă  seulement 10 minutes de marche de la citĂ© mĂ©diĂ©vale de Sarlat. S'y trouvent Ă©galement Ă  quelques kilomĂštres, de nombreux sites touristiques Ă  dĂ©couvrir. Nous avons passĂ© dix jours merveilleux dans une rĂ©sidence de 1694, soigneusement rĂ©novĂ©e et ne manquant absolument de rien, ayant gardĂ© tout son cachet. La maison est spacieuse, trĂšs propre et joliment dĂ©corĂ©e. C"Ă©tait pour nous un pur bonheur que d'ĂȘtre dans un environnement aussi calme et fleuri Ă  dix minutes Ă  pied du vieux Sarlat et Ă  moins de trente minutes en voitures des principaux attraits de la rĂ©gion (grottes prĂ©historiques de Font-de-Gaume, Combarelles, abri du Cap-blanc, des villages de Baynac, de La Roque Gageac et de Domm,e la bastides de Monpezier et les nombreux chĂąteaux sur le bord de la Dordogne). Perfect location in Sarlat

The house is lovely and in a great location- close enough to the old city to walk in (if you don't mind hills!) but far enough away that you feel like you're in the country. Beds are comfy and the kitchen well-supplied. Despite being out of town during our stay, the owners answered questions quickly by text. We were just sorry that due to work and school constraints we couldn't stay longer.

Fantastic

A lovely,spacious house for 5 adults. Everything there we needed for a very comfortable stay. Good mattresses and bedding. Good showers, all facilities working perfectly. We were met by hosts who were kindly in touch throughout holiday to check all was well. Pool fantastic,clean and clear and so much fun. Plenty of space to sit and read. So much to do. Kayaking, tree top adventures, electric bike rides, walks though old towns and cities. Great food in Sarlat itself and only a pleasant 10 min walk from the house. House itself is situated with extensive grounds and is in a quiet and peaceful slot. Good parking. Close to all amenities. We had a truely great holiday there and would be delighted ever to return. Thanks to the owners for the preparation of the house and friendly enquiries during our stay.

Our second year in a row

We returned for two weeks this year. Annie is a gracious person and we were treated as special guests. This property is place to relax on a large patio surrounded by trees and a glorious green lawn. It is easy to get into town and side trips to the local towns are available even if you don’t have a car.

Truly lovely and amazing. Such a warm home with everything one could need or want!!!

This was one of the best places we have ever stayed. Annie couldn’t have been nicer nor more patient! Her husband Michel was a delight! The kitchen had everything one could need for preparing anything from toast to a full 6 course meal. The view was so peaceful and the walk to Sarlat was easy! It took us about 10-15 minutes. Sarlat was a perfect place to use as a base to visit the surrounding areas!!! Great memories!!! Annie and Michel, thanks for everything!!!

Absolutely Perfect

This over 400 year old family home was perfect for our first week in the Sarlat area. It was TOTALLY private and very comfortable with absolutely zero issues. Annie warmly greeted us and showed us around and kept in touch by email. HUGE yard/property with occasional deer running by and with no adjacent occupied residences. It was a perfect location for a downhill walk to Sarlat which in itself is amazing. Thanks to Annie for offering us this opportunity and thanks for the welcome basket and departure jar of homemade jam. It will be on our recommended list

Peaceful, fully-equipped and close to town

Aunie was a delightful host. She picked up to and from train station. Her beautiful stone house is a gem. Very clean - thought of everything to make your comfortable. One of the best places we have stayed at. From fluffy towels to cotton balls, she thought of everything. We woke up to singing birds and a delightful garden. Really felt we were enjoying the French culture. The house has a large deck which we enjoyed our morning coffee and evening wine. If you needed anything, she was right there with your request. Also, there is so much to see in this area from the famous cave paintings to quaint medieval villages. We spent a day in kyacks on the river which is very close by. Would highly recommend. The town of Salat has a large regional market Saturday mornings. Try to experience it.

Wonderful small home full of comfortable furniture, antiques and well equipped kitchen.

It was everything we had hoped for. Great location in a very quiet pastoral area yet close to everything. The owner ,Annie Bersars,was a delightful lady who was very caring and concerned about our welfare and comfort. Would highly recommend L’Elise to any of our friends if they want to have a great place to stay.

Great house, fantastic location, wonderful owners

We absolutely loved staying here. The property has the feel of a country house, even though it is a quick 5-minute walk to downtown Sarlat. It is an old, historic home with a mix of old and modern features. Comfortable bed, nice kitchen, modern bathroom, classic stone fireplace (which we happily used every night in early January), and a huge front yard. Although it was only a quick walk to the historic downtown, it was perfectly quiet and peaceful at night. The home has been in Annie's family since the 16th century, and she and her husband, Michel, clearly love it. Annie is so warm and friendly, and she is full of good advice about the area. We corresponded with her both before and after our arrival, and she was always so nice, gracious, and helpful. It made staying here truly special. Annie is an amazingly nice and sympathetic person-- the perfect landlord you always hope for, but rarely find. We loved our stay, and hope that we will be able to return someday.

A comfortable casual elegance

Annie was a very special host, from picking us up at the train station, to bringing us her homemade jam when we said goodbye. Her spacious family home is graciously and comfortably furnished with everything you could possibly need. The house is a short walk to town, and on a large quiet , beautifully landscaped lot. Wunderbare und ruhige Unterkunft in der NĂ€he des Zentrums.

Die Gastgeber Annie und Michel sind sehr herzlich und kĂŒmmern sich um das Wohlbefinden der GĂ€ste. Das Haus ist sehr umfassend ausgerĂŒstet, es fehlt an nichts. Sitzplatz und Garten laden zum Verweilen draussen ein und der riesige Garten ist gepflegt. Die ruhige und doch zentrale Lage sind sowohl in Bezug auf das StĂ€dtchen Sarlat als auch auf die gesamte Umgebung hervorragend.

Perfect French House

Nice comfortable house well equipped and welcoming. Very nice patio, terrace and oodles of outside space and parking. 10 min walk from Sarlat medieval centre. Annie makes you very welcome and speaks perfect English. Definetily recommend.

Perfect in every way!

Annie and her husband Michel were the perfect hosts! They are such kind and considerate owners. It matters to them that you are comfortable and have everything that you need. Their place has all the utensils, appliances and dishes you will need and more. The fact that the house had been in the family for over 300 years made it special for us - it was very obvious that they took very good care of it. We loved every minute of our stay and really enjoyed meeting them

Perfect!

This house is cozy and beautiful. It's also within walking distance to downtown Sarlat. The owner couldn't be any nicer. We hope to Come back to stay again in the future. It was the perfect place to stay for a few days and feel at home.

Wonderful French family home!

You will feel like you have come home, fully stocked kitchen, comfortable living room, nice shower. Terrace has loungers & table/chairs with umbrella for baguette and cheese picnic. Views from every window of village & countryside. Easy walk to town - about 10 mins down rambling lane.

This property, within walking distance of the medieval part of Sarlat, was everything we had hoped for. It was historic, spacious, comfortable and well equiped. The setting is peaceful. Our hostess grew up in this house, and was welcoming and helpful. You will get some exercise climbing the hill on the way back from town, but it is well situated for visiting the old town and its many restaurants, not to mention the famous weekly market.

Perfect hideaway for two

During late August and early September we spent three wonderful weeks at Maison d’Elise. The house was perfectly equipped for two people, the thick walls protected us from the heatwave during that time, when temperatures soared up to 35°C. We spent a lot of time on the terrace, overlooking the large property. The house is some hundred years old and has some little problems that occur with age, but it is wonderfully maintained. Annie has stocked all the things you need to be cosy, so that we could delay going shopping for another day. Although only a short stroll from the centre of Sarlat, the house was at night so silent that the only sound was produced by a squirrel cracking nuts in the big old chestnut-tree in front of the sleeping room. Annie and Michel were extremely helpful and courteous – thank you for your hospitality. We definitely like to come back, maybe a little bit later in the year, when the big crowds are gone after the „RentrĂ©e“, the start of a new school year.
