Charming Gordon Street Retreat with Courtyard & Parking by Lucky Savannah

Located on East Gordon Street, this smartly renovated cottage is the perfect retreat for a couple or family looking to stay in style in the historic district. A private parking space is located directly behind the property, and there is plenty of non-metered parking in the front.

Gordon Cottage features a spacious living room with large, inviting sofas perfect for lounging. The adjoining dining room can comfortably sit four, and is conveniently connected both to the bathroom and kitchen. The kitchen has all the conveniences you could need, including plenty of counter space, a breakfast nook, and a washer and dryer tucked away in the back corner.

Up the stairs you’ll discover two large bedrooms. The primary bedroom features a king size bed and flat screen television. The second bedroom offers two, comfy twins, perfect for friends, family or kids! Making your way to the back of the home, you will locate the beautiful, serene, private courtyard.

Overall it was good - there were some issues that need addressing - knobs kept coming off the drawers in the kitchen, the toaster did not work, toilet was running. I suggest spending a bit more on the roll of paper towels - very cheap quality. Queen size bed was very comfortable however the small beds were not. My son had to sleep on the sofa. Shower pressure was excellent. All was good for the price. Would check on the items noted above.

Great trip to Savannah

We loved the location. The stairs made me nervous but my 3 year old was fine with it. Heads up- bathroom is downstairs. Off street parking and back patio could have used some sprucing up but overall we loved having that space. Proximity to the park was perfect. We ended up driving to the river front but could have easily caught the bus. We would recommend the location and rental.

Nice condo

The location is perfect, and the condo was great too. The only thing to note is that the stairs are unusually narrow and steep, with the bottom few being different heights, too. Tricky for the kids to navigate, but otherwise we were really comfortable during our stay.

Great location

The location is very walkable ( just not in the summer, too hot). The property is very clean and the shower is wonderful with great water pressure. Like some reviews mentioned the staircase is very steep and slippery. The kids fell several times. Out of the 3 beds one was great the king bed andbone of the twin beds were very lumpy and uncomfortable. Overall a great place to stay especially withkids.

Would definitely stay here again. Suited our needs just perfectly. Location was wonderful. Parking was a plus. I had read all of the reviews so I knew what things were not in the kitchen and brought them myself , such as a cookie sheet.

Excellent location, very clean and modern

We loved this accommodation! Very roomy for two people, great location near Clary's and several squares. It was quiet. It was clean & comfy. One tip: the bedroom facing the street has a LOT of natural light, so bring an eye mask and you'll be golden. Decorations are great and there are several good photo opp areas in the house. A family of four could easily stay here.

We loved the location of this property and nearly walked everywhere. The place was charming and the parking spot was a great added bonus
however, given that we only really used the place for sleeping, the biggest disappointment was the beds. All three of the beds were so incredibly uncomfortable and noisy. An investment needs to be made in the mattress department.

Great trip to Savannah

This property is approximately 25 minutes from the airport (our Uber rides were $65 there and $40 back). Thankfully the house was ready a couple of hours early and we were able to check in. It was easy to get in with a code and the property managers were very kind and easy to work with. The house smelled a little musty when we first got there, but it had been closed up. It was clean, but could definitely use a good deep clean. The outside of the refrigerator was dirty as were the rugs upstairs and the bathroom floor. It didn't ruin our trip by any means, but could use a good scrub. Other than that, some of the things that other reviews mentioned we noticed as well. Yes, the stairs are steep. Not a reason to leave a bad review, but good for people to be aware of. Also, the tub drained very slow which made it slippery. Again, just a potential safety thing. As far as everything else, you could just tell that it was a business that owned it and not a person. Only one extra blanket, no salt/pepper (although a stocked kitchen), no cushions on the chairs out back etc. As far as the location, you're about a mile from River St. Easily walkable, seemed safe after dark. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely area of Savannah

The home is located in the historic district of Savannah, and we could walk to many places of interest. It is located very close to a Kroger’s grocery store as well. If I could make some suggestions, they would mostly have to do with the kitchen. There’s a large fridge, oven/stove, and microwave, but there are no potholders, no baking sheet, and only one dish towel, which made using the oven challenging. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, but little things (like tissues and hand soap in the kitchen, as well as the suggestions mentioned) would be welcome improvements.

Location is excellent, everything you need, but a few problems

For the most part the apartment was great but one of the twin beds was broken and so my daughter had to sleep on the couch downstairs. We reported it to the property manager and I feel confident they will send someone to fix it so this is not likely to be an issue for the next renter, but for us it was a minor inconvenience. On the upside, she said the couch was fairly comfy. We also did not expect the bathroom to be downstairs so near to the common space and not upstairs near the rooms. But we liked the location and the place is perfectly equipped with everything you could need and was very clean.

Charming Cottage

Cottage location is perfect and accessible to downtown and riverfront. Quiet street and walkable to parks and market. It's perfect for a short stay. Bedding was a little uncomfortable. (need upgrading)

So happy we stayed here.

We loved the Gordon Cottage. It was so much better than staying at a hotel and cheaper while our daughter was as SCAD. The place is decorated so cute, extremely clean, fairly quiet neighborhood, and having a parking spot was such a bonus. Loved how close it was to Kroger too! While we only cooked once, having a fridge and microwave and ability to do laundry was also a huge plus. Very pleased with our stay here and will likely stay again if our daughter ends up going to SCAD.

Gordon Cottage

Lovely residential neighborhood, very walkable to everything. Easy street parking plus designated spot. Very comfortable space. Lucky Savannah was terrific to deal with, extremely responsive and always pleasant. On the negative side, bathroom downstairs while bedrooms are upstairs is very inconvenient. The steps are steep but at least an exterior handrail was installed. Also lighting is an issue in two places. The bathroom sink is poorly lit and the laundry area has no overhead lighting. Overall, a very good place.
