Charming cottage
I am happy with our recent stay and would recommend Mariners Cottage with a few exceptions (read on). We were in town for my sister in lawâs St Patrickâs Day weekend wedding. I was trying to find a place near the house she had rented and this was only about 3 blocks away, which was nice. This isnât on one of the charming tree lined streets of the historic district by any means. But that also meant less traffic and noise so I guess itâs a trade off. The cottage is quaint with a charming vibe. My college age children were originally coming with us but Iâm kind of glad they werenât there. This place would have been cramped with 4 adults. It is ok if you have 2 smaller children but 4 adults would have been on top of each other. The queen bed in the primary bedroom was very comfortable. We didnât try the 2 smaller beds in the other room.. the owner provides several thoughtful touches. For example, there were already a few coffee filters and some coffee and individual creamers so we didnât have to go out and buy coffee right away. I really appreciated that! This cottage worked out perfectly for us for what our needs were for the weekend.. If it were a longer trip or if my kids had been with us, we would have wanted a larger place on one of the more typical historic Savannah streets.
