Beware of Patriot Family Homes

Beware and do your research on Patriot Family Homes before renting. We arrived to find the house filthy and not as depicted in the listing photos. There was mold in the bathroom and what appeared to be feces on the wall. The doors that were reported as broken in a 2023 review were still broken or missing.I contacted Patriot Family Homes immediately to complain about the condition of the home upon our arrival. They eventually stated they would have it cleaned within 24 hours. I told them this was an unacceptable resolution and I would not have my family staying in a filthy home with mold. They offered our “cleaning deposit” as a refund and stated they would have it cleaned the next day. I made the decision for the health and safety of my family to leave and go to a hotel. As we were packing up, what appeared to be a homeless male under the influence of something appeared in the yard from the side/back of the home. After leaving the property I again contacted Patriot Family Homes and they offered no refund or assistance. I told them for our safety I would not be returning to the home. The call taker suggested I call the local authorities. After Patriot Family Homes refused us a refund I contacted VRBO who were very helpful. I sent them pictures and video of the home as it was when we arrived including the individual in the yard. VRBO escalated our complaint and later provided a full refund. THANK YOU VRBO for doing the right thing when Patriot Family Homes refused to.

Mitchell Family

The house is spacious and comfortable with a large fenced in back yard. However, the shower would get cold very quick. Could not get the front or back yard lights to come on. The back door is hard to lock and needs repair. The closet door in the master bedroom was off the hinges. There were dirty towels folded up in the master bedroom when we checked in. Although I reported the concerns and was told maintenance would come by, noone ever came.
