Welcome to Lazy Dunes Cottage, a 4 bedroom, 2 bath home just minutes from Warren Dunes.
This Harbor Country home welcomes you from the moment you pull into the driveway with a wooded lot with 2 decks and a huge front porch. When you step into the home you'll find a cozy living room that flows into a dining space and a fully stocked kitchen. Just down the hall you'll find three bedrooms, the first with a twin over full bunk bed, the second with a large King bed and the third with a Queen bed and access to the bathroom. Just off the dining area is a deck furnished with comfy seating and off the kitchen is another deck with outdoor seating and a gas grill. This area also leads to a shed full stocked with beach toys and a firepit area as well.

Downstairs the owners have created a fantastic game room with indoor shuffleboard, ping pong, pool table, darts, a projector TV and 2 arcade games! A Bedroom with a Queen bed and a bathroom are also located at the back of the basement.

Quiet peaceful retreat

Even though this is just off the highway it was a quiet home. Not a lot of room for sitting (only a couch and chair in the living room) but we weren't at the house a lot. We were at the lake!! There were no instructions on how to use the projector TV and no written check out instructions. We didn't get the code to get in the door until exactly 4:00pm and were getting nervous as cell service wasn't great. Family we were with rented another house and they had all their instructions the day before. The house was comfortable and the dunes easy to get to from the house.

We had a wonderful time with our kids and grandkids. The boys were excited to see the game room, and enjoyed playing with the beach toys from the shed. The only problem we had was the downstairs shower was not working. Bath did work, so we used that downstairs, and upstairs for a shower. No problem. The boys are asking if we can come back again.

Spring break get away

Great Sand Dunes Stay

This place was exceptional for visiting Warren Dunes State Park. It’s so close (2 min. away), you can visit, come back for lunch, and go again. The floor plan is great for kids (bunk beds in 1 room), with easy access to the bathroom. The basement is awesome! We loved playing pool, shuffleboard, and using the projector for a theater experience. The only downsides were spotty WiFi a couple of times, but the host communicated about location to reset router; and a burnt-out bulb at the tail end of our stay. The shower temp was glorious! Thanks for an excellent stay!

Great vacation spot

We had such a nice time staying here. Our 2yo loved the games in the basement. There was plenty of space for us. We drove 20 mins to St Joe, visited New Buffalo, had dinner in Sawyer, and had some great ice cream right up the road. We will definitely keep this place in mind for our next visit to Michigan.

Nice Harbor County getaway

Great house with everything we needed for a family trip to SW MI. The game room is fantastic (kids loved it), kitchen well equip everything comfortable and in great condition. Would definitely recommend.

Great place if you want to visit Warren Dunes State Park

Cozy house with lots of games & family entertainment. Perfect access to the state park - right across the street. Home is near the roadway so if the windows are open, you can hear the cars. But the windows and doors are solid, completely blocking the sound out. Had a nice time. No complaints.

Excellent location

I recognized our rental as the picture was 110% spot on. It was clean and tidy. The game room was awesome amd the lovation was ideal. The Warren Dunes entrance was maybe a mile up the road. Sawyer is a great destination as it is central to so many to do's. Wineries, beaches, markets, breweries, and eateries. Would recommend this spot to couples and families!

Mixed feelings

We loved the location! But we didn't have a back up roll of TP on the main level. We were also uncertain about using the basement bathtub because there was an obvious crack in the middle. So we didn't use it, which was inconvenient because we expected to have 2 full baths.

Clean, relaxing, convenient.

House and property were very clean. It is very close to a main road, but does not feel like it. Very secluded in a woods like setting. The property is like three minutes from Warren dunes, very convenient. It is within 20 minutes or closer of so many good restaurants and brewery’s. The basement is nice with a nice projector, and pool table. The arcade games were fun for the kids for a bit. I will say the shuffle board table was too slanted to actually play a real game on, but that didn’t hinder our enjoyment any overall. We were very happy with our stay. We would have no problem staying here again!

Fun time

We gathered here with some of my adult children and their partners. We had a great time. The game room provided lots of fun between the pool table, the shuffle board table, and the movie projector. It was a little chilly in the basement so be sure to pack a long sleeve shirt or two. The kitchen was well stocked. The beds were comfortable. We loved the wildlife....we had a baby fawn in the backyard overnight. The location is great for driving to lots of places, not the best for walking, but my husband a nd I both walked to Warren Dunes a few times. You just have to cross the highway, but that was never a problem. The host was great about getting back to us in a quick period of time. Would not hesitate to stay there again.

Have fun inside and relax outside

First off 
 Beautiful views from EVERY window and door. Storm doors have full size windows to let more beauty in. Outdoors, there are 3 different sitting spaces to relax and enjoy. Home was clean. Mattresses were comfy. Good quality sheets and towels. Kitchen had everything we needed. Besides the game room, there were many board games as well. Note: Home was settled among trees, but we could periodically hear cars from nearby road.

Relaxing Weekend Away

We had a great stay in Sawyer, Michigan! We were hoping to have a relaxing weekend where we could enjoy beach time, cook at home and relax and this home was perfect for that. Our family especially enjoyed the Game room (our kids are 11, 13, and 15) and the fire pit. The proximity to Warren Dunes was excellent and a very short drive. The kitchen was fully stocked and we were able to cook meals easily along with the grill. The projector in the game room was a little difficult to figure out, but we aren’t the most tech savvy. The host was very responsive and helped us figure it out that evening. We would stay here again!
