Stables is a lovely, one bedroom, single storey, holiday cottage situated at Valley Farm in Snape in a beautiful thatched barn that has been wonderfully converted into four holiday homes. Valley Farm is ideally positioned at the top of Snape village, just under 5 miles from the popular seaside town of Aldeburgh and overlooks the fantastic Suffolk countryside for as far as the eye can see.
Stables is the first cottage you reach as you approach the barn and the property opens up into a spacious, open plan kitchen, dining and living area that is bright and comfortable, perfect for a couple or two friends looking to relax in the countryside. There is a generously sized bedroom with a zip and link bed that can be made up as a queen size bed or a twin with built in storage and an equally large en-suite with bath, separate shower, wash basin and WC. Outside there is a brilliant patio area and communal garden where you can relax and enjoy the peacefulness of the Suffolk countryside after a day exploring the beautiful surrounding area. There is also a separate shared utility room next to the property with washing machine, tumble dryer and freezer space.
Snape is an absolutely idyllic location, best known for Snape Maltings, the centre of music, independent shops, galleries and eateries in the gorgeous re-purposed Victorian buildings. With beautiful walks right on your doorstep, you can explore the surrounding countryside, heathlands and rivers finishing up at one of the three fantastic pubs in the centre of Snape all serving delicious local food and drinks. With easy access to the A12 you are perfectly positioned for discovering the Suffolk coast with Aldeburgh, Orford, Dunwich, Walberswick and Southwold all within half an hour and offering something unique and picturesque that is well worth the short drive.

Owner came over and welcomed us and said contact her if any problems. There weren't any problems.Lots to see in the area. Used Friday Street Farm for food shopping and delicious readymeals.I'd happily return. Accommodation was well equipped and pleasingly fitted out.
The Stables was just for two people but spacious and well located. Private and well maintained. Good location to drive to Aldeburgh, Orford and Southwold.
Very well-thought-out accommodation, nicely furnished.
Extremely usefully situated for Snape Maltings if you don't drive - a pleasant 30 minute walk in summer.
My gripe is not with The Stables, but with Air Manage Suffolk, who failed to send me the key code and did not offer an apology until prompted.
When we arrived Stables hadnât been cleaned & beds werenât made which was really disappointing. On contacting Air Manage Suffolk we were transferred into Hayloft. It was nice but it had stairs. We had chosen Stables as it was on one level.
After chasing up on 9/5, we were finally able to transfer to Stables on 10/5. Stables was great once we got there.
