Scharendijke is located directly on the beautiful North Sea beach and the largest and cleanest saltwater lake in Europe, the Grevelingenmeer. This unique location makes Scharendijke the ideal vacation spot for windsurfers, divers, sailors, fishermen or for a nice lazy holiday on the North Sea beach.
With its own harbor, a cozy village center with cafes, restaurants and shops and a large supermarket, all ingredients are present for an unforgettable holiday!

Our holiday home is beautifully situated at the foot of the Brouwersdam. Dunes, Strand, Grevenlingenmeer or the charming village of Scharendijke can be reached on foot and / or by bike within a few minutes.

The house was renovated in 2010 and a large extension was realized in 2015/2016. It offers space for 4-6 people. Pets are allowed. 105 m2 floor area, luxury kitchen, bathroom (walk-in shower, WC, washbasin), second toilet, and attractive room and spacious bedroom with double bed on the ground floor with adjoining shower / bathroom. The two upstairs bedrooms each have two separate single beds and in one room also 1 double bed. Possibility of a cot and high chair is available. In addition to the third bedroom with a double bed on the ground floor in the extension, is a walk-in shower with sink. There is also a second toilet in the extension.

For the real holiday feeling, the house is equipped with every comfort, as you are used to at home:
- a private, sunny and spacious garden, including a terrace fireplace, a sturdy garden table for 10 people and garden furniture;
- a lot of privacy both in the home and in the garden;
- fully equipped open kitchen with a. a. dishwasher, oven, and microwave;
- spacious crockery and cooking aids;
- washing machine and dryer and extra fridge with freezer;
- bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet;

- TV and DVD with extensive channel package in every room, a Sonos in the living room;

- play / sleeping loft for the children accessible via the loft ladder in the extension (enter at your own risk, owner accepts no liability)

Unfortunately, groups of young people are not allowed. Smoking is not permitted in our holiday home.

Deposit: € 150, which you will receive within a week if the house inventory has been returned to the owner completely and undamaged.

Tourist tax included. Payment of the rental price expires before the 1st payment via Homeaway, the 2nd payment directly with the owner.

Beach tents
A 'tent' is not the appropriate name. They are very luxurious restaurants where everyone, including your pet, is welcome. Winter and summer. Lovely after a long walk on the beach. Every beach tent along both the North Sea beach and the Grevelingenmeer ('Werelds', De Punt) offers you a separate experience; for young and old. In all cases a delicious meal is served here for everyone. Lovely to fall down on the pillows after a long walk.

Kite surfing
Get a breath of fresh air on the beach and still be sporty? Near Strandbeleving (our holiday home) you can (learn to) kite surfing, but also try one of the other beach sports such as kite-buggies or Blokarten. The location is unique and experienced teachers show the tricks of the trade. www. natural-high. NL

Visit beautiful towns and villages
Going out, shopping, having a drink on a terrace or relaxing on the beach. It's all possible in different towns and villages in the immediate area. Zierikzee, Renesse, Brouwershaven (birthplace of father Cats), Ouddorp and Goedereede are all within 20 km of Strandbeleving.

Visit Zierikzee
Zierikzee is the Pearl on the Oosterschelde. This 8th monument city in the Netherlands is certainly worth a visit. Visit the silhouette with walls, gates, churches, tower and windmills from the 15th century or relax with a coffee on one of the many terraces. For a city walk, contact vvv Zeeland.

Flood Museum Ouwerkerk
In this museum you will be introduced in a penetrating way to the flood disaster that occurred in the night from Saturday 31 January to Sunday 1 February 1953 and the following days. It was two days after full moon. The flood that had to come at 5.00 am was therefore a spring flood. The storm rages with a wind force 11 to 12 above the North Sea from the north-northwest. Along the coast, wind gusts of 135 kilometers per hour occurred. Even before the flood, things went wrong in many places. Around 2.00 the water came over the dikes and the flood boards for the first time. The dikes started to break from 3 a.m.
The museum is located in the 4 caissons that were used during the disaster to close the holes in the dyke and to stop the water.

The island of Schouwen Duiveland and the neighboring island of Walcheren with Middelburg, Goes and Vlissingen have much more to offer.

In the house there is a book with walking and cycling trips. Use it to your advantage.
