Welcome to your Sea Ranch escape! This 2-bedroom, 2-bath house sleeps up to 4 and offers sea views, a private hot tub, and access to The Sea Ranch trails, beaches, and recreation centers.



The Space:

Settle into a relaxed, coastal home designed for easy days by the ocean and quiet nights in. The house accommodates up to 4 guests across two comfortable bedrooms and two full bathrooms. Unwind in the living area with a DVD player and board games, then step outside to the garden-style yard with outdoor seating—perfect for morning coffee or evening chats.



A kitchen and dining area make simple meals at home a breeze, and the private washer and dryer help keep everything easy during longer stays. After a day exploring the coastline, soak in the private hot tub under the stars. Guests also have access to The Sea Ranch recreation centers with communal outdoor pools (amenities vary by center).

‱ WiFi and cell service: Due to The Sea Ranch’s remote location, speed and reliability can vary and are not guaranteed; service may be spotty or occasionally unavailable.

‱ Communal amenities: The Sea Ranch has 3 recreation centers with outdoor pools, locker rooms, a half-basketball court, and tennis courts for guest use. Amenities and features vary by center; hours and availability may change seasonally.

‱ Pet policy: We’re happy to welcome your furry friends! 2 pets are allowed per stay. An additional fee of $75 per pet applies. If you are provided the option, please include your pet(s) in the guest count at booking. If this is not an option, please reach out to our Guest Experience team prior to your stay to add your pet(s) and ensure the fee is processed.

‱ Check in is at 4:00 PM and checkout is at 10:00 AM. We cannot guarantee or approve early check in or late checkout requests in advance.

The home is located in a friendly area with good views of the ocean and a nice deck with lots of green space. Overall the house is great with the exception of the beds, bed linens and pillows. Given the high price point I would expect those items to be updated. They are all old and uncomfortable. A Sonos speaker would also be a nice upgrade as most people no longer listen to CDs. Otherwise it's a great spot for people and dogs!

It's a stunning house. Great location and walk to the bluffs, and short drive to Gualala and the Lodge. The house was also very well stocked with the basics (solid kitchen equipment foundation, extra towels for hot tub, logs for the fire place, etc), which made it very relaxing. I'd definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sea Ranch, and hope to come back soon.

Good place -- great location

We stay often in Sea Ranch, and I would call this place "pretty good". It was definitely clean and in a great location. The fireplace and hot tub were both great. Rental was easy, etc... All good. A few SMALL honest criticisms for the seasoned sea ranch renter: Didn't love that the bedrooms and baths were very bunched up at one end of the house (not much privacy from each other). Lack of a gas grill and patio furniture was a bit of a downer. The biggest complaint was the very minimal stocking of the place. When we pay 100's in fees it would be nice to have more than the absolute minimum kitchen supplies, bath supplies, no charcoal, no lighter fluid, very few spices.... etc. I know it's not up to the owner to provide everything needed, but compared to other rentals over the last 20 years, this is one where I felt a little extra consideration would have gone a long way toward swallowing all of the fees. Don't hesitate to rent the place, just know to bring absolutely everything other than firewood and paper towels.

Beautiful home with great ocean view!

This house is in a fantastic location, with the kitchen/living room and hot tub looking out to the ocean. The house was clean and had everything we need. The walk to the beach from the house was further than anticipated. Unfortunately, the beach was closed for preservation during our stay which was a big reason why we booked this home. Otherwise, this house and our stay in it was wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kabella house. We had great weather, good food, and family time together. Kitchen is well stocked and the widow seats were coveted by everyone for reading and naps. Great place for 4 people.

Lovely home

The house is very comfortable and felt very cozy. It is well-maintained and well-equipped. The kitchen is particularly complete. A great house for just relaxing, particularly when the weather is uncooperative for outdoor activity. Convenient to a coastal walking path with spectacular views.

Wonderful Home

This is a beautiful home, clean, well located, well appointed, and comfortable. We had a wonderful stay and I hope to try to stay again. I have been coming to Sea Ranch to visit my father for years and this is to date our best rental. The furniture is in great condition, the owner clearly cares for this property lovingly. The beds were comfortable, and the kitchen had everything we could have needed. Definitely recommend.

Check in was difficult, with office location almost impossible to locate after hours.

The house had gnats and flies in the kitchen and dining room, which we noted upon check in. We checked in Wednesday evening and someone came to look at the issue Saturday. Her solution, for us to hang fly traps and gnat catchers in the kitchen. Disgusting house!!!! Shame on VRBO!

The property and our stay overall was good to great. A few problems/complaints: 1. The fact that we could not pick up the rental packet/keys a few minutes before the witching hour of 4:00 PM is ridiculous and inconvenient. We were at the rental office at 3:45, finding a locked door, no human, an empty key pickup box, and a sign requiring us to return at 4:00 or later. 2. On the other end (checkout) we were forced to drive back into Gualala to drop off the keys- the opposite direction we needed to go as we left the area. We should have been allowed to leave the keys in the unit upon departure. 3. There was no gas barbecue in the unit. We would have been ok with the Weber which was present, but there was no charcoal or lighter! 4. There was plenty of good, dry firewood, but the provided kindling was too large to be useful, and was wet. 5. After complaining about items 3&4 above to the provided 800- rental help number, we eventually (after 20-30 minute wait) got a text from someone, presumably local support, stating that wood was not to be burned in the barbecue (DUH!) and that charcoal and lighter were available for (OUR) purchase in Gualala, necessitating ANOTHER trip to town (after picking up the keys). We also purchased dry kindling on that trip. Overall, nice unit, great location, great kitchen, spa, et al. It’s rather pathetic however that charcoal, lighter, and dry kindling are apparently “extras”, and the rigid inflexible checkin/checkout times are petty and nit-picking.

Wonderful stay!

A great place for a getaway. A different beach every day! Dogs were deliriously happy seeing and smelling new stuff on the beach. We were very happy with Kabella, comfy, well-stocked. I would say superficially very clean as long as you didn’t look into the cupboards or corners. Cleaners could use a little supervision. Having said that, we realize staffing is critically short everywhere these days so somewhat understandable. Gualala provided adequate supplies (2 good food stores) but restaurants were limited. We would come back for the beauty of the coast, the beaches (and dog park in Sea Ranch) if it were not so arduous a drive for those of us traveling from out of state to get there. Still, we loved the house!
