The valet clerk was exceptional. He was friendly and chatty upon check in and departure. He was the highlight of my stay. Check in was rather slow with only one person working the desk. However, I had arrived early and was thankful they allowed me to check in hours early. I got to my room which was nice. It had a view of downtown Bellevue square and the dumpy parking lot next to the hotel. I dropped my stuff and left to explore and shop. I was bummed there is nothing to do at the hotel. No crowd or people watching to do in the lobby as it is dead. Very quiet area Upon returning three hours later my room was rather warm and muggy. After a maintenance man had come and spent 45 mins testing the AC it was determined it was not working properly. The front desk called to offer a room switch, it would be a suite, although rather than two queens it would be a king. The offered to show us the room and we accepted. Thankfully my friend and I are used to traveling and sharing a bed when needed. The staff were amazing. They were prompt with service and fixing the situation. I could not give them enough accolades for how they treated us at every turn. I felt the condition of this brand new hotel was a bummer. There is nothing to do at the hotel. Would have loved a pool. The shower, although beautiful, has no pressure in the rain fixture. The AC not working in our first room with queens was unexpected. I won’t stay again but if you’re looking for a quiet stay this is it.
