Great host and beautiful, clean apartment. Very happy. The only issue: my visit coincided with a hot spell. Air condition was working well, but there didnât appear to be a way to regulate cooling downstairs (where I was) independently of upstairs. Some may enjoy the break from the heat, but I found it a bit cold for my liking.
Yes, i would recommend this place and book here again, but maybe bring an extra sweater.
Our stay was not quite as I expected. The unit is fine and Iâm sure the hosts are great people. We had issues with the tenet living above accusing us of smoking in the apartment. We were called twice by Expedia for this reason and threatened with fees because of it. There was no smoking on the property. After that we didnât feel welcome or wanted in the space. Another thing is the basement is a lock off with flimsy doors so you can hear everything going on upstairs. They have a lot of fees for things like unplugging anything thatâs plugged in, which I understand but it adds to the âwalking on eggshellsâ feeling you get in the space.
VERY Great property and only minor issues which the host was rapid in responding to. Communication was done through my email which was not ideal for me, but was effective.
First view of the property looked promising BUT discovered the living room carpet was damp, in fact water appeared to be coming up from the concrete below the carpet. I messaged the contact and received a reply that theyâmight send the housekeeperâ to check it out. I sent a return message saying I thought it was pretty serious and maybe a different professional than a housekeeper may need to address it. Reply was âhave a good night â After an uncomfortable night unable to use the living area or tv,I messaged again that we were checking out due toâhealth and safety concerns â and requested a refund for the second night which we had payed for but weâre not using. The reply was a denial and that âwe had denied the housekeeper access â. I replied that we had not and no one had come by. Suddenly I realized I had been attempting to communicate with AI. Which explains why I was getting inappropriate and nonsensical replies. Ruined our Seattle trip, had to come home early and now must battle Hotels.com and others (AI also I suppose) Good luck if you choose to stay there. My over 40 years in construction tells me âVinceâ and housekeeper will not be repairing water damage, concrete work, mold mitigation and more real quick
This unit is very well designed with great amenities. The decor is lovely. My issue was with the basement feel. It was dark and musty which made it hard to feel comfortable.
The property was amazing. Things I didnât like, it was a basement unit, and always cool. No way to control the temperature ( that I could find) in the unit. The only parking is on the street. I had to plan ahead what to bring in. The neighbors in the back, had an Apple tree. There were yucky, dead apples all along the path to the back and the stairs. I was visiting my grandson in the UW district. Was very convenient for that
Plus - spacious rooms, well appointed, lovely photos and furniture. Very comfortable. Minus - Basement! AC closed off, no access to yard, dark space and not as described on the site. Correspondence was slow and unsatisfactory. Overpriced. Also, the Ardvark process was circuitous and not transparent.
Cozy place with enough room to work, hangout, cook, etc.
lots of good amenities such as expresso machine and big cubes of ice cubes.
We werenât sure where the thermostat was but was always cool enough for us.
