This location has a lot of potential but requires significant safety upgrades and staff training. Entry to the hotel’s main hallway (where rooms are accessed) are around the corner/at the sides of the building and are poorly lit at night.
The registration office is not accessible from the main hall and is difficult to get ahold of. Early in the evening, I tried to inform the hotel that a man from the road tried to follow my family into the main hall when we returned to the hotel at night. The lobby did not answer.
The room windows are large but have no permanent lock features; there is a mobile screw to secure the window, so be sure your room isn’t missing yours. There are no privacy curtains (you may choose the roll down blackout curtain or no window coverings).
The doors have no peep holes to see into the hallway.
The doors have no door jams/door chains.
Later that night, someone attempted to breakdown our room door by significantly throwing themselves against it. I called the lobby, finally able to connect, and informed them something was going on, that we felt unsafe, and my children were terrified. Registration suggested I leave my room and come chat with him. When I said absolutely not, they told me they’d check in on it; registration didn’t even call me back. When I followed up, I was told it was nothing, probably another guest having wild sex, there was nothing they could do, and I was over exaggerating. We did not stay the night.
