We had such a fantastic stay at this lake house! From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how clean and inviting the home was. The modern farmhouse decor gave it a cozy yet stylish feel, and there was more than enough seating for our group of 10 â both inside and out â so we never felt cramped. The views of the lake were absolutely beautiful and made for the perfect backdrop, whether we were sipping coffee on the deck or winding down in the evening. Everyone had their own space to relax, and the layout worked really well for a larger group. One thing to note: the house sits on a very steep hill, and the parking area is steep too â definitely something to be prepared for, but it wasnât a problem for us. Just know what to expect when you pull in!The screened-in porch, fire pit, dock, and grill were all a bit weathered and in need of some maintenance, but with a little cleanup, we were still able to enjoy them. It didnât take away from the experience at all â we just made the most of it and had a great time using all the outdoor spaces.Overall, this was a great place to make memories with family and friends. We would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful, scenic getaway with plenty of room to spread out and relax! We were here for a long weekend for our daughterâs summer graduation from Clemson, which was only 15 minutes away from the house.
Yard was not mowed and unkempt, even after the landscape man came to âweedeatâ when I contacted homeowner upon arrival. My exact words to him were âthe place looks abandoned.â Landscaping has deteriorated and the fabric was overhanging the driveway where mulch has washed away. Grass was knee high down to the water and remained that way throughout our stay. Outside of house, lower patio, screened porch, outdoor furniture and dock were all filthy, stained, and full of dust, pollen, and active spiderwebs. Dock power was inoperable so no one wanted to sit on it after sunset.
We had an unforgettable stay at this beautifully maintained and exceptionally spacious lake house! It was the perfect setting to celebrate a mini family reunion, a birthday, and an early Fatherâs Dayâall in one peaceful and relaxing week. The home easily accommodated our group of 13 with plenty of comfortable seating, fantastic water pressure, and some of the most restful beds weâve experienced in a rental. Every detail has been thoughtfully consideredâfrom a fully stocked coffee bar and fresh linens to a washer/dryer, kayak, paddleboard, and a fire pit for cozy evenings. The private dock was a huge bonus, making it easy to rent or bring your own boat or jet skis. The setting was serene, quiet, and felt incredibly safeâlike a true home away from home. The owner was responsive, organized, and a pleasure to work with from start to finish. We typically vacation on the ocean or sound, but this lakefront experience may have changed that for good. Highly recommendedâyou wonât regret booking this one!
We loved all this house had to offer. The lake, paddle board, kayak, and just sitting on the dock for beautiful sunsets was great. Everyone enjoyed the fire pit, basement game room, loads of hangout space inside and out and the big kitchen eating areas. Would definitely come again.
All ages enjoyed our family vacation at this wonderful house. Plenty of options for sleeping arrangements, easy drive to Seneca or Clemson for activities, and hosts were amazing at responding to questions. Favorite house activities included exploring the lake and the multiple games of Golden Tee played daily. No one wanted to leave!
I cannot love this house enough! We absolutely enjoyed our stay and hope to be back soon during the spring or summer. The house is fabulous-nobody wanted to leave. Pictures are very accurate. Everything we needed for our large family was there! Every bedroom was a dream.the layout was perfect for families with still so much room to sneak off from the group for a bit. Seriously, will be back soon.
We loved celebrating Christmas at this wonderful house. Three generations enjoyed the huge kitchen and multiple comfortable gathering spaces. Canât wait to come back!
We really enjoyed our stay. It was a short weekend with the game taking up most of our time. We would enjoy coming back in the summer months to enjoy the porches, and the lake.
The layout of the house was ideal for a large group. There were 12 of us and we had plenty of room. The house was just as advertised so we didnât have any unpleasant surprises. We enjoyed the lake and fire pit so much.
This truly is the Perfect Lake Hartwell Getaway for any occasion. For us, it was the perfect property for three families to enjoy our last few days with our kids before they moved in to their dorms at Clemson. The property had plenty of space for relaxing, planning, celebrating and a bed for everyone. Very clean and well appointed. We will definitely stay here again!
We loved our stay. The home was beautiful, just like in the pictures. The beds were comfortable, bedrooms and bathrooms spacious. Games were fun, especially PacMan, used the kayak and paddle board, swimming most of the day, kitchen had everything we needed, watched Olympics on tv, sat outdoors, enjoyed swing on dock watching sunsets. Our family of three generations thoroughly enjoyed our time.
We had a goup of 13 stay and the property and location were fantastic! The distance to the dock/water was just right! The home was absolutely beautiful! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of bathrooms with beautiful showers. So many neat places to hang out.-the screened in porch or the deck with rocking adirondack chairs or the cool basement with the games. Plenty of space for everyone. Would highly recommend! William was very responsie and pleasant to work with.
Great house for large group of 16 adults and teens
Beautiful home with everything we needed and lots of space for a weeks stay with 16 adults and teens. We enjoyed the house, the lake and going into the cute college town. Host was very responsive.
This house was absolutely wonderful! There were plenty of beds and plenty of room for our entire family and a few friends. The location was great, the sunsets and sunrises were beautiful, and it was so quiet the entire time. I think our favorite spot was the screened in sunroom. It was especially nice to have the house stocked with paper products and most of the things anyone would need in the kitchen. The only negative thing I can say is that the house needed a little TLC on the outside. The door from the screened in porch was about to come to pieces and the walkway to the dock needs some work. However, overall, it was a great stay and we would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend this house to anyone staying at Lake Hartwell.
