Cute little hotel!
The hotel is right in the middle of the Myeongdong shopping area, which makes it super convenient to shop and explore the night markets for some cheap, yummy eats! The downside of this though is that the streets are super crowded and it can be a pain when rolling your luggage through the crowds or just trying to get back to your hotel after a long day of exploring Seoul. The hotel overall is quite good. Clean, really kind and helpful staff, and they provide a lot of amenities (Pajamas, free coffee, bath salts, free use of their umbrellas, etc). The rooms are a bit small though and either the soap (which smelled way too strong) or the water really dried out my skin. (I stayed at other hotels in Seoul and Busan and didn't have this problem) I think for the price range, it's a great value though!

Great and convenient location, you step outside at night and Myeong Dong night stalls are just outside and a number of shops that are open both day and night. The under ground trains and buses are on the same street or nearby, easy to get to other tourist locations from here. There are people dressed in red during the day that can help tourist just outside, who are very helpful. Staff was also very helpful in providing instructions or offering suggestions when asked. The room was small compared to what you’re used to in Australia, but we didn’t mind- it was clean and a great location and loved the complimentary pjs to wear at night.

It is in Myeongdong and actually on the night street. Very convenient and right opposite the Tourist information centre. It was a bit hard to find because there are retail shops in the same building. Their sign will show up bright on the top of the building. They provided breakfast but you have to go to 4 different retail places and not very good. No buffet breakfast. All individual orders. You will need to pay 1 to 2000 Won to try the Korean traditional breakfast. Staff are very helpful and courteous. The closest Myeongdong exit is #8 and you can see the hotel sign on top of the building at night. Ask the tourist information helpers wearing red uniform if you cannot find them. There is also a paid laundry on the lobby floor. Very safe. Room is not very big.

Great stay! Very close to MyeongDong Main Street and only about 5 min walk to a main metro. Overall great stay, just not much space for luggage’s to open up.

Smallest room ever. For 2 people, it was impossible to move. There was a smell of urine in my first room, so I requested a room change. I got the same room layout but on a lower floor. Then all I smelled was restaurant cooking. My kids room was 2 twin beds but it was stuck together because the room was also small, but at least you could get off the bed from both sides. With so many other hotels in this location, do not choose Sotetsu!

The property is right at the heart of Myeongdong shopping and nightlife. The staff is great, extremely friendly and helpful. However, the room is tiny, can’t even fit 2 people in a hallway or restroom or anywhere. No space for luggage, even with 2 carry on.
