Great Guesthouse for Solo Traveller

First of all, i would like to thank Welcome Guesthouse for giving such a good experience on my stay for my VERY FIRST SOLO TRIP. The room and hotel are so CLEAN and having a COMFORT SMELL. Location is just 5 mins walk from MyeongDong subway station Exit 3. Famous Myeongdong street is just right opposite from MyeongDong subway exit 3, Olive Young, McDonald, GS25, Money changer, 7eleven all are just walking distance from the hotel. Simple breakfast is provided, you can even cook the egg by yourself. Warm welcome by the reception, and Yong (one of the receptionist) has given me a lot of helps to a female solo traveler like me. Guesthouse has no lift, however do not worry on this as the reception will help you carry your luggage to your room. They are also very helpful in guiding you through the map. They have warm floor adjuster, you can make your floor in warm when you are in cold weather. So Overall, this is a very good guesthouse. Will come back again in future and will strongly recommend to travelers who travel to Seoul. Best guarantee.

明洞駅から坂を登って行かないといけないので、荷物が多いとちょっと大変です。スタッフの方は丁寧で親切でした。お部屋の掃除も毎日きれいにされていました。ただ、やはりゲストハウスなので、隣の部屋の宿泊客が騒がしいグループだったりすると気になります。

It's not bad, but also not as good as the previous reviews said. The staff was really nice, willing to help, to provide information and to fix problems. But except for that, the guesthouse was kind of disappointing. The location was 10 mins walk from the metro, but it was on a little hill. So it would be very exhausting to go back after your whole day schedule. And there were also some rules that may be inconvenient to guests, such as no eating in the room (but the lobby wasn't 24-7 open) or late breakfast serving time (but the breakfast was very simple).

Basic but clean, and with a friendly staff

Really nice, very helpful staff! However, the accommodation are extremely basis. Clean though and located in a good area right beneath the Seoul Tower. My biggest "warning" is that there is no real shower area, just a handheld faucet between the sink and the toilet. It was okay for me because I only stayed one night and decided not to attempt trying to shower without making a mess, but for people staying longer, it might be something to consider.

坂が急勾配

駅からゲストハウスまでの道がずっと坂で急勾配なので登るのが大変でした。下るのも荷物に引っ張られて大変でした。どこでもそうかもしれませんが、道がガタガタでキャリーを引くのも大変なので、基本情報に書いている分数では着かないです。近くにコンビニがあったのは便利でした。 水回りは今まで泊まったゲストハウスの中で1番よかったと思います。シャワーも湯量も温度も安定してました。

不會再選擇這家民宿了

民宿地點很斜,要走很多坡才到 而且地面是不平的,拉行李可能會有點吃力 晚上的時候也很昏暗,街燈不足,還有一些坐在路旁喝飽食醉的人.感覺略為混雜 四圍都是停車場,小型的2,3個,還有一個2,3層大型的 車來車往, 電單車開很快,出出入入挺危險 接待員不太有善,雖然有幫忙提行李,但只是提了其中一個 我們都是女生,民宿沒有升降機,只有狹小的樓梯 也沒有認真為我們介紹民宿,大多都是提及甚麼甚麼要錢 有洗衣服務,但一次收5000won,鄰近大多都是免費的 不過也不算太貴 房間的隔音很差,經常聽見旁邊的人說話,還有門開鎖的聲音很大, 鞋櫃的門也特別的吵,若鄰居早出晚歸,肯定會受到影響 洗手間的門是磨沙,隱若能見到里面的人,可能會有點尷尬 而且是沒有門鎖的,只是掩著. 一推就可以開到了 里面也沒有抽風系統/抽氣扇,用熱水洗澡頓時煙霧瀰漫,要是大便的話也很臭,沒有疏氣的地方,會熏到廳里

Excellent location

I rented a single bedroom and it had all the basic things a solo traveller needs (e.g toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo/conditioner, hairdryer, towel). Very clean however, I could hear every `words' that the next door people was saying. The guesthouse is located in walking distance to the N Tower and Namsan park which made it a very convenient location to watch night view of Seoul. Will definitely stay there again if I travel to Seoul.

Excellent for solo travel

The hotel staffs are all super friendly and helpful. And you feel welcomed by them during your stay :) ! I stayed in a single room. Tiny,clean but basically got everything I need. Their shampoo, conditioner and shower gel is good enough that I don't have to use mine and which is unexpected. They got hairdryer in the room. For adapter, you can pay a deposit and rent it which is quite convenient. The hot water comes immediately which is really great as it was freezing in Seoul during my stay (don't worry they have heater). The only thing upset me was the wall is quite thin that it could be really noisy if some people they are inconsiderate. But you can simly say it loud to stop them inside your room which I did stop them. So overall it's nice.

Simple but sufficient

The room is basic but is sufficient. There is no chair in the room. You have to sit on the floor. That is something we do not get use to. The bathroom is a wet bath in the same room of the toilet which is usual for B&B. They provide 2 hand towel size towels and not bath towels. You may wish to bring your own bath towels. The front desk Oppa helps to carry the luggage as there is no elevator. The Oppa took our picture for their guests photos collection.

アットホームで可愛らしいゲストハウス

２泊しました。 第一にスタッフの方がすごく親切でした。 宿泊前に何度かメールで問い合わせさせて頂いた際もとても返信が早く、文面から優しさが溢れ出ていました。 18時頃到着して入るとアニョハセヨ〜と挨拶してくれ、チェックイン？と聞いてくれました。 韓国語が少しできるので韓国語でゲストハウスの使い方の説明を聞いて、開門時間外に出かける時の方法も教えてくれました。日本語できる人はいないようですが、英語か韓国語が多少できたら何とかなると思います(^-^)自分でゲストハウスを手配して泊まるのは初めてだったので何もわからず、書類などの記入があると思いきや、手間のかかる事は何もなく、デポジットも必要なく(このサイトから既に支払い済みだった為)、すんなりとチェックインが終わりました。お部屋の方は、清潔感がありとても可愛らしいお部屋でお家みたいな感じですごくくつろげました。 壁はとても薄い様で、階段に一番近い部屋だったので誰かが階段を登る音が聞こえました。 触った感じでも簡単に破れそうな感じがしました笑(ゲストハウスはどこも壁が薄い様なのでそこは妥協して行ったので特に何も思いませんでしたが^_^;) アメニティは、歯磨き粉？？らしきものはあったけど歯ブラシはないです！(ゲストハウスは大体そうかな？) その日は隣に誰もいなかったのか？喋り声が聞こえるということはありませんでした。 Wi-Fiの繋がりも問題なかったです。 朝ごはんは食パンと卵が置いてあって自由につくれます^^ ただ、8時半から11時までだったので朝早く出かける予定だったため１日目は食べれなかったです＞＜ もう少し早い時間から食べれたらもっと良かったかなと思います。 明洞のメインストリートなどがあるところの、駅を挟んで反対側にあり、迷うことなくすんなりと見つけることが出来ました。周りはたくさんのゲストハウスがあり、明洞までとても近いので立地もすごく良いと思います。 また明洞で泊まる機会があれば是非利用したいと思います。^^

不錯的民宿

房間很乾淨~ 房間雖小，但足以一個人居住。 離明洞很近，大概5分鐘就到。 入夜後比較寧靜，但有街燈&附近屬住宅地方，不用擔心安全問題~ 職員好好，盡量解答我的問題。

very nice guesthouse and good location

Guesthouse is really good located. Just 5 minutes to Metro and city. Lobby looks really nice. Got lots of information beforehand. The owner is very friendly and helpful! Guesthouse offers everything backpackers need. Wifi is also very fast. We stayed 6 nights and would come back.

세미나 깨문에 주말에 1박3일 싱글룸에 묵었습니다. 객실 및 욕실은 깨끗했습니다. 여름끝자락에 가서 숙소찾아가는데 좀 더웠습니다(언덕을 좀 올라가야 합니다). 방음은 조금 부족한게 옆방 중국인 가족이 너무 새벽일찍 욕실에서 씻고 나가는데 떠드는 소리에 5시반 기상했네요. 조식시간은 8시반부터라 9시 약속이어서 못이용했습니다. 가격대비 좋은 숙소였습니다.

1人部屋に二泊三日お世話になりました。 浴室トイレ付、冷蔵庫、テレビもあって今まで泊まった1人部屋の中でも広いほうかと。 水回りは綺麗ですが、壁が薄いので隣の声が聞こえます。 寝るだけであれば全然問題ありません。 日本語はできませんが、スタッフさんは荷物も運んでくれるしとても親切です。 最後に…たどり着くまでの坂道が聞いていたよりもかなりキツいので夏は厳しいかと…

明洞徒歩圏内のゲストハウス

明洞から坂を登った場所にあり、スーツケースを引きながらは過酷だと思う。壁は非常に薄く、隣のシャワー音が部屋に鳴り響く。 ただ、料金は安いので私の様に寝るだけだったらコスパ高いので非常に良い。

Atendeu minhas necessidades (met my needs)

Não tive grandes supresas, já esperava instalações espartanas. No entanto dois aspectos me decepcionaram: o café da manhã incluido é na verdade composto de torradas, suco de laranja, café solúvel e ovos, tudo preparado por vc mesmo, inclusive lavando o que usou e o banheiro com pouco espaço. No geral gostei do hotel, com pessoal simpático com facilidade de comunicação em inglês, localização ótima, com estação de metro proxima. O detalhe especial fica por conta da mensagem recebida logo após a reserva com orientação completa, inclusive com imagens de como chegar ao hotel. Voltaria provavelmente a me hospedar lá. No big surprises, spartan facilities as I expected . However two things disappointed me: the supposed breakfast are just toasts, orange juice, instant coffee and eggs, all prepared by yourself even including washing used tools, and the bathroom too small. Overall I enjoyed the stay, with friendly staff with ease communication in English, great location next to metro station. The special detail is the incoming message shortly after booking with full guidance, including images of how to get to the hotel. I would probably staying there again.
