Clean and spacious rooms. Overall the staff was friendly, but the bell man that took my luggages from my vehicle on the day that I checked in to Movenpick was rude.

I had 2 bookings for 2 consecutive days and I received room access card for 2 days at check-in. To my surprise, when I went to sleep at midday during second day reception started calling room with questions when I am leaving the room (I had 1 day more). They interrupted my sleep. Apart from the above, hotel rooms are extremely noisy. Hotel is next to the road and you can hear traffic all night long. Additionally, air conditioning is also very noisy.

Free chocolates upon arrival were delicious. Our room, 5315, had 2 issues in the bathroom; left faucet very wobbly and toilet paper dispenser almost falling of the wall. Excellent breakfast options and very kind friendly staff.

lovely modern hotel

The Movenpick is a hotel in an Islamic arch style. It is modern ,minimalistic but still comfortable. My room was more traditional with two (almost) double beds,light blocking curtains and had a nice carpet . The Movenpick has done away with plastic water bottles , uses refillable glass bottles instead. The pool on top of the car parking building is large, with a separate pool for women, and has real trees and plants. Some traffic noise be heard especially from motorbikes.

Very unmemorable one night stay - 3 star at best

We booked one night and checked in late around 8pm. The check in was smooth and went straight to the hotel restaurant. They offered buffet and a la carte which is basically items from the buffet - mix of basic western and some local cuisine. Upon checking into the room, the rooms were dated and tv didn’t work. We call reception, waited 30mins and called again. After two calls no one came to our room at all. We checked out the next morning and took the complimentary hotel shuttle to the airport (around 10mins) which was pretty handy. Disappointed they advertised as 5 star hotel, I’d give it 3 at best. Just being honest.
