Hi! We are Chris and Georgia, a husband and wife team and not a rental company. We have worked meticulously to create a super comfortable and cozy setting that feels like home and not a temporary stay. Over The Mountain is a beautiful private cabin nestled on a one acre lot in the trees located 6 miles (14 min) from the Parkway in Pigeon Forge and is convenient to all of the area attractions including Dollywood, Gatlinburg, Mt Leconte, hiking the Dome, Cades Cove, restaurants, shopping, outdoor sports and the rest that the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has to offer. The relaxed, serene setting is ideal for honeymooners, small families or just a couple's getaway for that dream vacation in one of the most beautiful places on Earth!

Your cabin has some pretty sweet features, among them...

A very private new hot tub that is drained, sanitized and refilled after every visit and an HDTV set up for viewing while tubbing! Complimentary YouTubeTV for live TV included.

60 game classic arcade in a genuine Jack Daniels whiskey barrel with Ms Pac-Man, Donkey Kong, Galaga and 57 others (no quarters needed) : ) as well as various board games

Brand new top of the line full house water filtration system so you will be bathing in and drinking the cleanest water possible

Three Smart TVs along with 300mbps high speed internet, the downstairs TV has Samsung Plus for hundreds of free programs and all TVs come with a complimentary subscription to YouTube TV for live channel viewing. Bring your log-ins for Netflix/Hulu/Apple TV etc.

Bedroom: KING size bed in the main with super comfortable memory foam pillow top mattress to melt you to sleep.

Downstairs: Choice of QUEEN size pull out couch bed (not super comfortable for adults) or QUEEN size inflatable air mattress that is very comfortable for anyone.

Washer/dryer with soap included in case you need to do any laundry

Cook a romantic dinner in the full kitchen with granite countertops, pots, pans and utensils

Dishwasher for easy cleanup of that aforementioned romantic dinner : )

Cuddle up on the couch with the gas log fireplace (turned off during the summer)

Grill up a steak dinner with the gas grill

Choose between a front porch swing or two rocking chairs on the front porch or a comfortable patio set with ottomans and small table to relax and enjoy your favorite beverage with your sweetheart

You can feel like you're taking a bath in the trees with the jacuzzi tub upstairs with big windows looking out into your private woods or take a shower with the soap and shampoo provided

Circular driveway for easy arrival, parking and departure

We provide drip style coffee maker and bean grinder (please bring your favorite coffee),dishwashing soap, bath soap, shampoo, fresh linens, towels and a beautiful setting for making memories!

You have full access to everything in the cabin, it is yours so please treat it with the respect it deserves. Like most cabins this one is on a well and septic system so please be mindful of water usage (if you take 30 minute showers there is a chance you will be without water for a time) and PLEASE DO NOT FLUSH ANYTHING OTHER THAN TOILET PAPER DOWN THE TOILETS. Thank you!

We are available 24/7 via text/email. We like to provide our housekeeping with enough time to make the cabin super clean and tidy for the next guests so we can not offer early check in or check out but we will do our best to accommodate you depending on that day.

You will get an exclusive code to access the cabin so no keys required.

We want there to be no surprises so please take the time to look through the photos and ask any questions you may have before booking. We want you to see and know what you would be getting if you should decide to stay with us. We promise to make your stay as enjoyable as possible!

This cabin is in the woods so you will highly likely occasionally hear critters like squirrels, raccoons, hawks, possums, woodpeckers, songbirds and if you're lucky you might spot a bear!

The road to the cabin is well paved and there are multiple outlets to get to different parts of the area depending on what the day's activities call for.

We love animals but please, NO PETS.

All guests MUST be 21 years or older unless there is a parent/guardian present. Message us if you do not meet this requirement and if you have previous positive reviews we will consider your request, thanks for your understanding.

If you plan to come and be loud and obnoxious and party then please do not rent this cabin.

You are coming to the most visited and gorgeous National Park in America, the great Smoky Mountains! Go out and explore, there is an unlimited amount of amazing things to experience. In our welcome letter we will let you in on some of our favorite things to do/see/eat/drink etc. After your day of fun come back to your relaxing retreat and unwind in the hot tub, play some games, watch some HD TV or enjoy an adult beverage on the private screened in deck and listen to the natural soundtrack outside. Most of all, ENJOY!

SECOND CABIN AVAILABLE FOR LARGER GROUPS: Please contact us if you have a larger family or group and interested in renting the other cabin we have on the same street, each cabin will accommodate four guests that we recommend keeping to couples or families with smaller children.

Prefect place for relaxing!!

My husband and I were looking for a cabin to rent that was clean, offered some extra amenities, and reasonably close to Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg. This cabin provided all of those things as well as a very helpful and considerate host! We were very happy with the cleanliness of the cabin. Everything was clean and easy to find in the cabin. The cabin itself was easy to find and not far from any destination we wanted to go to! What helped as much as anything, though, was all of the suggestions we were given by the hosts! We got through several of them, including road trips as well as great places to eat! We would highly recommend this rental for many reasons!

She Said Yes!

The pictures are extremely accurate, no hidden details or misused camera angles. The ascent up the mountain is not for the faint of heart, or at least not this flat Floridian. AWD/4WD are preferable and definitely necessary in the winter months. Multiple steep inclines with 90-110 degree turns.The cabin itself is perfect. Arrive to a circular driveway (AWESOME perk given the other driveways in the area) with amazing scenery. The lock is simple to manipulate, as you enter into the bottom level with a well-stocked kitchen, dining for 4, living room, and a very convenient half bath. The back porch overlooks the mountain and huge trees and offers lounge chairs as well as that awesome jacuzzi. Insider tip: turn all the lights out on the back porch at night when using that jacuzzi and the fireflies will start dancing.Upstairs is the loft with a comfortable king bed, television, and full bath that has a separate shower and whirlpool tub. Now on to the nitty gritty. Was it clean? YEP! Despite all the nature around us, there wasn't a speck of dirt in the cabin when we arrived. Everything smelled wonderful and even the jacuzzi had obviously been recently cleaned. (Cleaned after every visit for sure) Was it stocked? YEP! Plenty of flatware, dishes, pots, pans, and accoutrement necessary for cooking full meals, a coffee station, cleaning supplies, and even shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the bath upstairs. This was the best trip. And on top of it all, SHE SAID YES!

This property is awesome!! Everything was very clean,communication was easy too. First of all, we absolutely loved this place. We were looking for somewhere away from people and a quiet, peaceful getaway! This was it! It was clean, warm, and welcoming. We had an absolute blast. We will definitely be using this place again. The communication from the owners was superb! We used their restaurant recs and their email about things to do was perfect. I could not have asked to a better experience. The hot tub was amazing! The little back deck was quaint and the street was quiet! We even were able to call in some turkeys one morning! It was cool to watch and see the wildlife and recharge and reset! We highly recommend a stay here! We will be back!

Me and my wife had spent a night in this cabin for our first anniversary and we absolutely fell in love with the cabin, very few cabins nearby for that romatic getaway. We spent most of the night lounging in the hot tub and playing the board games included at the property and we have decided we are coming back for future visits.

Great Stay / Cabin in the Woods

We had a Great Stay. This Cabin has everything you will need, the Host's really thought of it all. It's just the right size for a couple or couple and maybe 2 children. The Cabin is kinda hidden by tree canopy so watch for the address post with the reflectors! We parked the mini van in the horse shoe drive way 30 ft from the Cabin. Then there is a 20 ft paved ramp that goes down to 2 easy steps onto the porch. Fire pit and Grill just off the porch. Very warm and cozy inside. The kinda place you would love to get snowed in or stranded at. (Sign me up for that). Real size table and 4 chairs. Counter space nice layout of kitchen with full size new appliances, fridge, oven with glass cooktop, dishwasher and microwave even a toaster and regular coffee maker. Cabinets are stocked silverware plates bowls and all that. Very well set up. The living room has a big super comfy couch in front of a Gas Fireplace with a huge TV hanging above it. With Xfinity wifi and cable TV. Coffee table with lots of brochures and coupon books. There's a big recliner right next to the Acade quality video game table it has a ton of different games to choose from. Nice 1/2 bath with great stackable Washer and Dryer. Step out the back door on to the big screened in deck and you realize that you are high overlooking a fantastic Gorge in the WOODS! The view is beautiful. I kept looking for bears but did not see any. There are 2 real nice outdoor lounge type seats with a table. This is also where the Hot Tub is. Very nice tub. This is where we spent most of our time when we were there. So relaxing and we felt so Safe being in that high screened in area. Screen is not going to stop a bear I know but it just gives that hey I can really relax feeling. The Bedroom is up stairs and then across the catwalk. Beautiful bedroom and bed. Big TV and a fan. Watch your head on the one side of the bed when you get out the beams are close. There is a nice size dresser. ( but your going to live out of the suitcase like everyone else ) The bathroom is big and so is the Tub! Man the Jet Tub is DEEP and rectangular, I've never seen one this size before. We did not use it cause (Hot Tub) Nice square shower with soaps and shampoo. Good water pressure and hot water. This place is perfect. Great space for romantic, reconnect get away. I have stayed at alot of rentals like this and I HIGHLY recommend this one. It's my #1 stay. Thank you Hosts. See you again

Absolutely Beautiful

Chris and Georgia were absolutely wonderful hosts. The cabin was exactly as listed. Very private and cozy. The cabin was clean and we had everything we needed. Definitely will be visiting this cabin again next year for our birthday/anniversary week vacation. I assure you that you will not be disappointed with this sweet little cabin. We had a great week!

The cabin was a great size for the wife and I on our anniversary trip. Tucked back in the woods had a great mountain feel while still being 20 minutes from everything around. Chris was great to work with, communication was excellent and he had a great list of recommendations for us first timers to the Smokey mountains. Would go back in a heart beat. Very pleasant and peaceful

The communication with the owners was wonderful! Even though they had set great expectations of what the cabin was, they had communicated with us if we need help. It is a beautiful and secluded cabin where you can enjoy yourself. The cabin is easy to find. It had a beautiful theme and the jacuzzi was awesome! 10/10 reccomed!

If you’re looking for a nice clean cabin not far from the main attractions

Week long trip at cabin

It was amazing saw so many things. It was a good destresser. The cabin was so nice, very clean and cozy. Warning tho the drive there to the cabin itself is a bit windy and sharp but then again that’s all of tennesse. The drive is worth it. Relaxing in the hot Tub is really nice. The owners were really sweet and good communication. Definitely recommend going and staying at this cabin.

Simply Perfect!

This cabin exceeded our expectations. I came with surly teens, tired from lots of driving. First off, the drive up the winding mountain streets was so fun, and a great intro to mountain life - steep, sharp curves. But not treacherous or scary. The cabin is almost at the dead end at what seems like the top of a mountain. It is tucked back a little, and the half circle drive is easy breezy for parking. Walking in, everything was gleamingly clean. It was just the perfect size for the 3 of us. We loved watching Disney+ TV, hot tubbing, and playing games. We cooked breakfasts in the fully stocked kitchen (if you are a coffee fan, bring your own - the coffee provided is not very fresh). We ate dinner on the Parkway, which is minutes away. Just down from the mountain. We forgot hiking boots but no worries as there's an REI really close too. We had hesitated coming to the Smokies because we heard about it being so crowded. And yes, the main strips are high traffic, but it was convenient being close to lots of restaurants and stores, and secluded up at this cabin. We found plenty of hiking trails that were not crowded, too, which was our goal. Chris was an excellent host, so caring and available and helpful. I definitely recommend Over the Mountain.
