Everything was wonderful. We loved the cabin and the location. The property managers were most accommodating and wonderful to work with. We would definitely recommend. A
It was our first time visiting Tennessee, everything was very good except the accommodation which was a very bad experience, the house is in very bad condition, dirty and the worst of all is that this infestation of rats we could not sleep a single night since They ran and scratched all over the ceiling, it was too noisy and scary, the house did not have enough towels, you had to go to the office to change the dirty ones for clean ones, before renting the property I read the comments, there were none that bad, I thought it would be a Good option, I didn't realize that the house didn't have Wi-Fi and it was also in an area where no phone has a signal. I asked for a refund but of course it was denied.
The cabin was a very nice cabin and clean. We stayed here to venture out in the area to Gatlinburg, Cherokee, etc. The fees were a bit pricey. Yes, I was aware before I booked, I am just pointing this out. Also, know that there is no cell service or internet at the location. We have T-Mobile and had no service at this location. I am not putting that on the property company, just letting others know that if you do need phone/internet, you won't have it here. Sometimes that can be a good thing! We arrived on Thanksgiving we also had to find a local store to purchase a few staples that normally come with a rental cabin such as salt and pepper and packaged sweetener and a few other staple items. I would also suggest to the property company to add in some hooks in the bathroom for bathrobes/towels, as there is no shelving available except for on the sink. There was also no dresser in the bedroom, only 1 nightstand table with 1 drawer. We had no place to put our clothes that didn't hang in the closet. The area is nice, lots of trees and seclusion and you can walk down to the river to collect rocks if you like. It sounded peaceful at night. We enjoyed our stay and the cabin was beautiful, clean and well-kept up.
The property is clean, neat and well stocked. The view, location and layout all made for a memorable experience. This cabin truly is perfect for a couples getaway.
This place was the perfect little cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway for me and my husband. We enjoyed our stay. The only thing I would change was that the property could have been a little cleaner. Other than that it was great!
There were a couple of concerns we addressed with the property manager. They were responsive but always asked if we wanted them to send someone out. We were busy vacationing and could not respond most of the time. Many times we did not have good signal. Anytime someone says there are live cockroaches in a property, it is my opinion that you do not need to ask if they want someone to be sent out. Yes!! We wanted someone to take care of it.
The cabin was perfect for me and my wife to celebrate our anniversary, everything was nice and clean and the location was great! Loved going out on the deck and listening to the river sounds
Nice 1br cabin with hot tub. Secluded with sound but no view of river. Pictures show 2 rocking chairs on the porch but there was only 1. So me and wife both could not sit together and listen to river. No wifi and poor cell signal, 0-1 bar with AT&T. Approximately15 minute drive from downtown Pidgeon Forge.
Very comfortable & close enough for us to explore the Smokey Mountains without having to be in the chaos of the cities. Not as secluded as I thought it would be but Iâm sure itâs because of the time of year, when the trees are full of leaves Iâm sure it is much better.
You in the best location for Caverns, Waterfalls, Ziplines, and oldtown feel everywhere around you. Knoxvill, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge are all right around you and North Carolina is right through the mountains.
Lovely cabin. Perfect for just two. Did our customary âcovid wipe downâ when we arrived and place very clean. Unit needs a few more supplies . Unit is new to market so this may improve. (Ex. A few wine glasses, large skillet, an additional waste basket in the bathroom, a few hooks in the bathroom for towels, Maybe a luggage stands or chairs in the bedroom to rest bags on). Hot tub was cracked and therefore not working - didnât know this until after we booked, but rental agent did let us know prior to our arrival . Cabin is about 45 minutes drive from the Great Smokey Mountains Natl park. Nice drive. Convenient to the park. Hiked the Alum cave trail to Leconte mountain. FYI- No WiFi service while in the cabin. We enjoyed our weekend get away stay. Thank you for sharing your lovely cabin.
I was very disappointed with this place, the main reason for going was to get away and relax in the hot tub. The hot tub was broken and they didnât tell us, we found it emptied, only when we called did they tell us. It wasnât very clean. I would not recommend going to this place. The company that this owner goes through will not grant you access before 4 pm, even then it is a little after. They claim itâs the automated system, and they canât do anything about it. The picture of the nice stream is very hard to get too, down a steep hill. The grill is charcoal but they donât tell you that, and donât provide the charcoal. If they could update their information to be honest with the customer that would help a lot.
We called it our "Technically Cabin" as it was technically a cabin
Arrive at 3:30, could not get in because they will not give you the code one minute before 4:00 p.m âso that cleaning is done.â I realized later it was because its too late to send anyone out to fix the problems at that point. By the end of the week, we realized we were rented a cabin that was still in the process of being renovated as there was so much that had to be done to it. We are the first persons rented to under Colonial because the dishes were brand new. POSITIVES include: 1)Hot Water immediately upon turning on faucet 2)Plenty of towels.3)Great water pressure.4)Great location between Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. NEGATIVES: 1) No Trash can other than bathroom trash, inside and out. Called and asked for one and told one would be brought. Didnât happen. 2)Bathtub would not drain. My husband had to plunge it himself. Promised trash can, not delivered so why would they respond on tub issue? 3)Gutter is so full on one side it's falling on the cabin. 4) Arrived to cabin that wreaked of some cologne smelling fragrance or cleaner. Took 2 days before my sinuses stopped freaking out. 5) No decorations in cabin- 11 total decorations and that includes the rugs, shower curtains and quilt on bed. Because of that you could tell how worn the cabin is. 6)No place to put your clothes so you live out of your suitcase. We bought hangers at the dollar store but the foldups stayed in the suitcase, BUT THERE IS NO PLACE TO PUT YOUR SUITECASE for easy access that is out of the traffic area. 7) Had to search for the remotes to the t.v. Found them on the floor under the coffee table.then we had to figure out how they worked. Had to mess with cables as well to get the hookup right. 8) No WIFI - of course, that is not in the list of amenities, so thatâs on us. Had to use my phone as hotspot. So far out that I had to use hot spot outside. 10) The last night we were there we didnât sleep as something was chewing on wood inside the walls. Squirrel? Rat? We got up, banged on the walls.. stopped for a few minutes, then started again. 11) Not enough bar soap, dish soap to last for the week and you have to leave all dishes clean so we bought more ourselves. Wonder if they are still there for the next renters. 12)Bed was firm, but comfortable, but take your own pillow if you can. 13)River is not very visible through trees.
