A unique home where you will breathe in history, architecture and legend:
Casa Palacio San José is the result of the careful restoration of a stately 17th century aristocratic building, located next to the convent of Dominican nuns. It is a fabulous example of traditional Andalusian palatial architecture, faithfully restored by Rafael Manzano.

The house welcomes visitors from calle San José 7, through heavy wooden doors and a large wrought-iron gate. An open hallway then leads to the main patio, and on to a furnished, covered sitting area, before entering the house proper through a hallway giving access to the upper floors via a magnificent stairway and lift. Enthusiasts of both architecture and history will delight in the classical structural details, the large arcaded patio with Roman marble columns and fountains, generous terraces with exuberant greenery, and pergolas to keep the environment cool and sheltered.

This two-bedroom home accommodating up to four persons is one of five independent apartments in the building. San José V is accessed directly from the main arcaded patio, an impressive example of Andalusian noble architecture complete with marble columns and fountain, and lush vegetation. Style and a warm welcome awaits our guests.

Once inside, there is an open-plan living and dining area, in which a small kitchen has been cleverly integrated. The décor combines antique and more modern furniture, with colourful textiles adding a bright and cheerful touch. The height of the ceilings, the quality carpentry and marble floors are a constant reminder of the aristocratic nature of the property. All fully equipped, and with modern heating and air conditioning systems.

To the left is a pretty bedroom with a 160 x 200 cm double bed, bedside tables, an antique wooden wardrobe, and a full en-suite bathroom.

The second bedroom has a decorative ceramic mural as a headboard and main feature of the room. There is a large antique wardrobe, bedside tables, an upholstered chair in classical style and en-suite bathroom, providing privacy for guests.

And to top the experience, the terraces of Casa Palacio San José, to be found on the third floor. An oasis of green in the middle of the city, ideal for having breakfast, an evening al fresco with friends, some sunbathing in the solarium, complete with rainfall shower, or impressive views of the many terraces, dormers and bell gables of the Jewish district. The third floor also houses the shared laundry room, with washing machine and dryer. The apartments have hanging racks which are stored in the kitchens.

Located in the very heart of the city, just 5 minutes' walk to the Cathedral and the Giralda, next to the Madre de Dios convent, Casa Palacio San José is a stunning property over three floors, with an area of more than 1000 square metres. A stately home dating back to the 17th century, stunningly renovated by Rafael Manzano, one of the most influential classical architects of our time. Manzano was responsible, amongst other significant projects, for conserving and restoring Seville's Royal Palace complex and the Alfonso XIII hotel, and he has managed to return this palace house to its original splendour, whilst providing it with all the conveniences and systems required today.

Staying in Casa Palacio San José will enable you to enjoy all the charm of Seville's historical and cultural heritage, as well as its shopping and leisure opportunities. The historical centre and the Cathedral, the Murillo Gardens, or the very heart of the Barrio de Santa Cruz are just a few minutes' walk away, along a route filled with visual, culinary and cultural delights.

Beautiful building in a fantastic location

The apartment was tiny but cute and spotlessly clean which was my main concern. Beds were very comfortable. My husband and I stayed with our two sons and it worked for us. On a side note, the living room had different furniture than what is shown in the picture. The actual couch is gray, the chair is child-sized and there is no rug which was fine with me. you

We loved the house, the entrance so typically with the fountains and the roof terrace

We had a very nice time here and might come back. The apartment is in the very shadow of the palace, which makes it fabulous in summer, in winter it is a bit dark, but entering through the Main door looking through the gate and coming into the first atrium with two fountains on, is lovely. Water means life and it reaches your right away. Restauran Moyo was perfect for breakfast.

Really historical house and superb location

It is a traditional house with an internal courtyard. Old, but looking like new. Sometimes we turned off the AC and opened windows for better ventilation. It was much cooler inside even on the hot afternoon. There is a couple of restaurant in the proximity of the house. One of them is working even in siesta hours.

Thorough the very small streets of old Sevilla, the apartment was beautiful set inside this classic building, behind some wrought iron gates and bougainvillea and white and blue tiles as well as an inside patio with a water fountain. Breathtaking! Finding the recommended parking was difficult and scary, we couldn't turn with our car on some streets, so we opted for parking little further away where there was more space to maneuver. Communication with the team was excellent. from the beginning they coordinated our arrival with the agent that was going to greet us at the place. Apartment has everything you need, rooms are a little small if you have a big suitcase, but my husband and our two sons manage perfectly. walking around the neighborhood is super safe, there are a lot of people around until late. THANKS for a wonderful stay!

We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend that you stay there too. The apartment was better than we expected. The unit was very clean and communication with the hosts could not have been better . The garden and terrace were very relaxing and kept cool during the heat of the day . If you go to Sevilla do yourself a favor and stay here .
