Coffey Grounds Cabin

About this space
Coffey Grounds Cabin is a beautiful cabin in the woods with modern, fresh interior. It’s located just outside of Seward city limits near Exit Glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park.

This cabin is very new, it was built between 2023-2024. Featured in the photos are milestones and some of the friends and family who made this vision a reality.
The space
The Coffey Grounds Cabin is on a 2 acre property lovingly referred to by friends, family, and locals as the Coffey Grounds.

While the Coffey Grounds don’t actually grow coffee, they do boast huge gorgeous pines, a stream that salmon run up during the summer, a stunning view of the surrounding mountains, and so much more. Moose frequent the property to feed on the abundant alders and, on occasion, bears can be spotted searching for salmon at the stream.

The Coffey Grounds property sits near the entrance to Exit Glacier and Kenai Fjords National Park. The Park is a great place to spend time getting acquainted with glaciers and the Alaskan wilderness. Also nearby, Resurrection River offers serene riverside hiking and wildlife viewing, just a 10 minute walk away.

The Coffey Grounds Cabin, surrounded by all this glorious Alaskan wilderness, has been our labor of love for the past year. The completion in early Spring will be a momentous occasion. Our family, friends and community, have put in a tremendous amount of time and effort to help us build this home from the ground up. It truly “takes a village” to build a home.

This is our own little slice of Alaskan paradise and we can’t wait to share it with you.

Lovely Cabin near Seward

We enjoyed the unique Alaskan cabin in an unbeatable location outside Seward. Roomy enough for 4 adults and easy access to hiking, glaciers and the Kenai Fjords. A beautiful & special place that felt like home while on our Alaskan adventure. Our hosts were great! Would definitely recommend to others.

Kudos to hosts, John and Kayleigh, for the beautiful Coffey Grounds cabin rental. Very accommodating! This was our first trip to Alaska and this stay added a positive to our entire trip! Would highly recommend to future visitors!!

Cozy warm cabin

My family stayed at the Coffey Grounds Cabin on two raining cold days in Seward. We ventured through the adorable sea side community and LOVED coming back to a warm, cozy cabin to relax and rest before our next adventure. The host had a binder filled with great suggestions for eating, excursions, and fun spots. Beautiful job and outstanding attention to detail!

Property was very neat and clean. Spiral staircase was a bit challenging but not a deal breaker. Would have liked to have had more than one kitchen towel and hand towel in each bathroom. Never figured out where the outdoor trash was so stockpiled trash in the house. Would definitely consider staying again. Thank you for providing such a great property.

Perfect Paradise

Coffey Ground Cabins was a perfect place for family of 4 (2 teenagers). They enjoyed the upstair loft with king bed and half bath. We enjoyed the private queen bedroom downstairs. The main bathroom had an oversize shower! The kitchen was stocked for 4 and we were able to make breakfast each day and dinner 2 nights. We ate outside on front porch since weather was nice. The washer/dryer was a bonus since we needed to do laundry after spending 4 nights in Alaska already. The location was excellent - away from main road so quiet and set among trees so lots of nature and natural light coming into cabin. We would definitely stay here again.

Family vacation

Cozy, clean cabin worked great for iur family. Hosts were super accomodating, allowing an extra person on blow up bed and allowing last minute reservation change. Cabin was very close to Exit Glacier, and only a few minutes to Seward. Highly recommend staying at this modern cabin with lots of amenities.
