Great hotel stay

Hotel is located right next to Xintandi which is shopping and restaurants all in one. It's close to subway line 1 and 10, very walkable to other major spots. The hotel itself is nice but it's showing signs of wear, but the bed is amazing, mattress is still firm and our room is still very comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is install hooks in the bathroom as we had a hard time hanging the super large bath towels and nowhere to put our clothes.

Check in and out process was fast. Hotel location is very good as it is in between the places we wanted to visit and very convenient to take taxi as well as close proximity to metro and malls. The rooms are big and comfortable for 2. Service is excellent including delivery of parcels to the room. We will come to The Langham again in our next visit to Shanghai.

Ok but not so ok

I always stay at this hotel whenever I’m in Shanghai because of its location. It’s close to everywhere that I want to go. Great staff, great service. I would have given full score if not for the fact that this hotel is starting to look old and hygiene is not perfect - the bathroom had mildew and looked worn out

Whilst service was generally good, the hotel is getting and looking dated and the bathroom though adequate is a little cramp. Lighting in the room is rather dim, can do with more. Location is excellent. Service is okay for a good class hotel. Did not try the restaurant outlets.

My first trip to Shanghai. We booked this hotel since it has a good reputation from where I live. We arrived on a late flight so we were completely exhausted. Francis, at check-in, was extremely considerate and thoughtful to our needs and he made our hotel experience very pleasant from the beginning.
