Low ceiling in the hallways, not very comfortable when you are 6’2” , room is very small , would have appreciated knowing about these details ahead of booking
The staff were excellent and the food downstairs was superb. Could not fault either.
However, the bed in the room was extremely uncomfortable and my back hurt for about a week.
The room was very noisy (not much could really be done about that tbf). The top of the bed was extremely dusty with a message written in it!
Shower was decent and it looked nice from the outside. Shame the bed, noise and cleanliness blighted our experience.
This is the second time we have stayed at Cromwell’s Tap House. Excellent location and great bedroom. We ate in the restaurant also, the food was fab. Will definitely stay again!
'Superior Double Room'
+ Nice space, clean, reasonable size and good shower!
- could do with a new carpet & matress!
- noise from the road outside from around 0700; some noise could still be heard from the pub staff until 0100 (albeit more thin wall/ceiling rather than noisy staff!)
Excellent pub accomodation, little street noise , no noise from the pub below, clean room everything you need, town amenities a few metres away.
Excellent beers and beer garden at rear, staff pleasant and helpful.
A lovely pub with great accommodation, rooms was clean and modern with a great shower. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great and reasonably priced. A great selection of real ales etc. Staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. If you’re staying you get 10% off your bill! Highly recommend this lovely pub.
The accommodation was adequate for our needs. The staff were extremely friendly, polite and helpful.
It's a town location so expect to hear traffic noise coming into your room. We ate at the restaurant in the evening and the food was delicious. Would like to see the installation of a mini fridge in the room we stayed in. Plenty of room for one. More than happy with our visit though.
Lovely old building which I prefer to modern buildings. Room was small but comfortable.
No parking but not a problem for us.
Didn’t eat there but it’s an option. Good choice of beers etc.
The pub is nice and historical, clean so quite happy with our stay.
