Hi there, cute, great hot tub, warm, bedroom, bathroom, linen all very clean and well stocked. Great laundry facility. The property is tiny for any more than 2 people. We had 4 adults there for 3 nights, rediculous, a joke. No where to put skis, boots, not many hooks to hang wet clothes. The second bedroom is a cupboard, no room to store anything barely stand next to the bunk. The cupboard in the main bedroom was locked so no where to hang anything or store bags. The kitchen had 1 wine glass and 3 water glasses. The pots and pans and most utensils all needed to be cleaned before use. No large pot to boil water for pasta as example. For 2 people, good accommodation. Value for money was okâŠThanks for stay anyway, we had fun, Silverstar is great.Jason
Location was good for access to alpine and Nordic, and just a short walk to village. Beds were comfortable (but be aware of very low clearance on top bunk), space was clean, and all the basics were there.
The property is on the older side, however the suite was clean and cozy. The only thing I'd recommend is furnishing the suite with some noise efficient fans. The current fans are noisy.
This is a lovely location, but you need a 4WD truck to access in the winter. To be fair, they say that in the description. The other thing is that they will want your DL and credit card again, by the third party who manage the unit, so beware on that. The communication was good.
We attempted accessing the property in the month of late January 2024 where there were no plowed icy/ slush roads up to the property. It took us 6 hours in total to access the property. We could only drive our well equipped truck with snow tires half way with the help of a trucker who kindly provided us with salt. This took 4 hours. We got stuck in 2 snow banks on the way up Spencer Lane (100+ meter) road, to the property (only 1 way up) where we then knew it was too unsafe to continue and weâre spinning out. We had to walk 12 pairs of skiis and 10 duffel bags up to the property by foot in the dark, taking us 2 hours. By the time we reached the top it took 3 steep flights of steps down to the side door. Although our experience itself didnât concern property owner, there was no transparency on the lack of accessibility by car. The upstairs tenants staying as guests did not drive and therefore did not have the same brutal experience we did. We called and were kind asking for a resolution in the form of a refund due to this lack of accessibility, and needed to leave due to these safety concerns up and down the Lane to Silverstar road. The vacation rental Managers (Nomadics) weâre only giving us options that served their needs including cancelling in hopes of having another renter fill the days contingent on finding some other renters. Several emails back and forth did not address our concern of unsafe accessibility in the winter months. No one should take 6 hours to assess
The listing is accurate and the unit was reasonably updated. Location was good, with easy ski-out to Alpine Meadows chair and ski-in from as far as the Gondola & Comet. We found it a bit tight for 4 people (2 adults, 2 teens), as there is only a couch and 3 stools for sitting. Ok for a short stay. Note there is no dishwasher.
