We usually stay in this hotel during a transit in Singapore, so are no strangers to how this hotel operates. During this stay, I had the unfortunate experience of having 2 separate interactions with this staff member at the front desk - Andrew - who was quite clueless as to how to do his job and gave me the wrong information multiple times. The hotel could also be busier during this period but the staff were also quite confused just trying to handle a simple request like a (paid) late check out. These interactions marred an otherwise standard stay in this hotel like before.

Amazing, comfortable room. Spotlessly clean and lovely staff. Perfect location on the airport if using Singapore as a connecting link. We forgot about the swimming pool and wished we had used this facility too as the pool looked very inviting.

The highlight for this property was definitely the location. Very convenient as a transit hotel at the airport with plenty of food and shopping options available. The rainwater shower was excellent and the bath tub got filled up quickly! However, we might have had too high an expectation of the hotel given it was rated best airport hotel for 10 years in a row and was wondering whether the room that we got justify the price tag, though that could have been influenced by the fact that it was NYE and the location was just too popular. We were also somewhat disappointed by the service at reception during check in. Got asked to input email address without being informed what it was about, and then got signed up to IHG without asking for my consent. I felt I wasn't being respected. The express checkout process also didn't work for me either.
