Excellent location, close to transportation, great for Tiong Bahru and Chinatown. We walked to the hawker stalls every morning for breakfast. The staff here are exceptional, all very friendly and helpful. The room furnishings were a bit worn, but the room was clean. I would definitely stay here again.
Pros:
The staff was really friendly and accommodating.
Close (enough) to malls and restaurants.
Cons:
The front desk is not 24h so you might need to make special arrangements to checkin/register off-hours.
The place looks a bit dated and the room I got shows a lot of wear/tear.
The walls are very thin and I can hear my neighbours very clearly (and the cars outside).
The floor is hard and abrasive. Ya’ll need slippers.
I heard water/plumber even when I was not using the bathroom (I assume it’s from the neighbours). A washlet/bidet would be in nice but it may not be common in Singapore.
The service here was lovely but all those beautiful photos are from a bygone era. From the stains on the carpet in the common areas, to the plastic mat flooring in the rooms, to the electrical outlets taped over with electrical tape this place shows signs of utter disregard by the management company. I was absolutely disgusted and shocked to see an Ascott managed hotel in such a state. I do not recommend a stay here.
I had an amazing experience from check in to check out. I unfortunately lost the note with the receptionist that checked me in on the night I arrived (7 Oct 2024), but she was amazing. I was sorry that she had a few days off during my stay. I loved talking with her and she was EXTREMELY helpful. The other staff were helpful but it was something about her personality that made my stay more enjoyable. I would definitely consider staying here again. This was my first time traveling to Singapore and didn't know what to expect, but always made to feel welcomed.
I was disappointed to only discover there was a gym on leaving the hotel. I found it a little claustrophobic- corridors rather narrow though the rooms themselves were fine
It was hard to get in and out / no bell service / no breakfast / light in closet was annoying it kept turning on and off.

More like 3.5 star hotel
This hotel was advertised as 4-star but it is more like 3.5-star. Room facing big street so a bit noisy from the traffic.
The staff are really good and helpful. But this hotel is next to the road and EXTREMELY noisy. There are no services in tge hotel and you only get tea and nescafe making equipment.
The fire alarm went ofg at 5 am. It was a false alarm but we were awake anyway cos of the noise.
Hotel was below average and room layout was very odd. Only good thing we that it was close to some good asian food options and a couple blocks from MRT line.
Here are the bad things:
1: Bathroom toilet was inside the shower without a divider so when you showered, the toilet got wet.
2: Bathroom had no counter so you had to leave everything on the back of the toilet, that was in the shower.
3: There was also no towel rack near the sink, so you had to hang wet towels on chair in sitting desk area.
4: AC in the room did not work too well and temperature would not go down pass 22 degree Celsius.
5: Bed was soft and lumpy. Back hurry after nights sleep.
We were only staying for a couple of nights so we just tolerated it.
I would not stay here again.

This was the second time I have stayed here and I was not disappointed, friendly staff, clean good sized relaxing room and easy to get to most attractions from the hotel and done good quality restaurants in close proximity
